Trump Secures $221M Columbia University Settlement Over Civil Rights Violations

“After Hamas’ October 7, 2023, terror attack on Israel, Columbia University’s leadership acted with deliberate indifference towards the harassment of Jewish students on its campus,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon said. “This is not only immoral, but also unlawful.”

Tarek Bazrouk identified himself as a “Jew hater,” labeled Jews as “worthless,” extorted “Allah” to “get us rid of [Jews],” called an acquittance a “F—ing Jew,” and told a friend to “slap that bitch” in reference to a woman with an Israeli sticker on her laptop, according to court documents.

Bazrouk is accused of three separate attacks against Jewish people in the city.

This wasn’t a protest.
This was terror on campus.

We are now on the third Columbia president and this latest will not last either. She’s worse.

Federal funding must end.

Columbia University has historically received substantial federal support. The Trump admin cancelled 400 million in fedeeral funding but that was merely a drop in the bucket and hardly an impetus for real change. Columbia reportedly receives around $1.6 billion in federal funding, according to analyses of the university’s financial structure,  roughly 28% of its $6.2 billion annual budget.
