Irmo LIttle League goes to the World Series!
I’ve been fortunate to spend lots of hours through the years at Friarsgate Park with the Irmo Little League!
That program does incredible work – not just with sports but developing our young men and women and preparing them for life! Thank you to all the coaches and volunteers who spend countless hours for our kids and community each season (and off season)!
Three years ago we watched the girls’ run in the series and this year, it’s the boys turn!

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WACH) — The Irmo Little League All-Stars advanced to the Little League World Series on Wednesday and did so in epic fashion.
Down 4-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning, Brady Westbrooks hit a three-run double to walk it off and beat Lake Mary (FL) 5-4. Lake Mary was the defending Little League World Series champions.
It will be Irmo’s first time playing in the Little League World Series, held in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
They will be representing the Southeast in Williamsport.
Irmo is only the 4th team from South Carolina to advance to the Little League World Series.
The others are North Charleston (1949), Clinton (1950), and Taylors (2015).
They will play the winners of the Northeast Region on August 14th at 3 pm.
