Secret Service Needs Urgent Purge of DEI

Considering how open liberals have been about their intention to keep trying until they manage to assassinate Trump, it is a matter of urgency to purge the Secret Service of incompetent DEI hires and other obviously unfit agents so as to restore the agency’s previous standard of excellence. Susan Crabtree finds there is still work to do:

• In early October, a Secret Service Uniformed Division officer fell asleep in public while providing security for the U.N. General Assembly and left his fully automatic rifle unattended while he went to the restroom.

• After Charlie Kirk’s assassination, a Secret Service agent who attributed Kirk’s murder to “karma” in a Facebook post and criticized efforts to eliminate DEI priorities in the federal government was disciplined and placed on administrative leave.

• Over Labor Day weekend, the Secret Service physically screened a man’s bag but missed a Glock pistol and let him into the Virginia course where Trump was golfing. …

• In mid-September, pro-Palestinian protesters confronted Trump at a D.C. restaurant, hurling epithets and calling him “the Hitler of our time” for more than 30 seconds before Trump told his detail to escort them out.

• In late May, a physical fight between two female officers outside of former President Barack Obama’s D.C. residence was caught on video.

Former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle pushed with all her might to replace merit with DEI. She was forced down after the agency let Thomas Matthew Crooks get off eight shots at Trump in Butler, PA. Yet her chief of staff Darnelly De Jesus is still there:

[Current director Sean] Curran has decided to keep De Jesus on his assistant director team. In that role, she oversees all agency misconduct cases and is ultimately charged with signing off on all disciplinary recommendations. …

De Jesus is one of eight assistant directors who comprise the Secret Service’s top-tier leadership team, aside from the deputy director and chief of staff.

De Jesus was…

…one of the agency’s leading architects of and advocates for DEI recruiting and promotion policies.

It seems doubtful that her priorities have changed. She is in a position to make it difficult to purge the Secret Service of DEI hires.

Trump may be counting on God’s grace to keep him alive through the ongoing wave of leftist violence. But God helps those who help themselves.
