Male visitors to Sizergh Castle in the Lake District were left confused by a large box packed with free sanitary products hanging on the wall near the urinals.
A sign on the box reads: ‘Got a period situation going on? We got you.’ And a disposal bin labelled with a male icon was also positioned nearby.
Bizarre refutations of reality in the name of social engineering leave people disoriented:
One 79-year-old visitor said he was left confused by the presence of tampons in the male toilets, pointing out that there are mixed facilities nearby as well as a female-only toilet. …
[H]e said he was surprised by a green box asking about ‘period problems’. ‘I went outside and put my head outside the door. I wanted to check if I had used the wrong toilet,’ he said.
