Americans have the ability to watch from afar. Israelis are “under it”—defending themselves from an onslaught. Ward Clark of RedState: The Israel Defense Forces has announced what it is describing as a “large-scale wave” of missile strikes on Hezbollah in Beirut, after the terror group’s “deliberate decision” to act as a proxy for Iran: The IDF has begun a large-scale wave of strikes on Hezbollah infrastructure in the Dahieh area, Beirut. Interception efforts against Hezbollah projectiles are ongoing. The IDF is operating with determination against the Hezbollah terrorist organization following its deliberate decision to attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian regime.” This was bound to happen sooner or later. One of Iran’s proxy terror groups, Hezbollah, has fired over a hundred rockets at Israel, an act that can only be in response to the ongoing Israel/USA attacks on Iran. This is a significant complication, especially since the number of rockets launched overwhelmed the vaunted Iron Dome system (Red State).

From the Golan to the sea – nobody slept last night along Israel’s northern border

In the late afternoon yesterday, settlements and towns along Israel’s northern border got a warning to expect a massive missile attack from Lebanon. And it came!

It began at 8:00 p.m. with sirens sending hundreds of thousands of men, women and children to the shelters. At around 8.30 p.m. the all-clear sounded but then 5 minutes later, another barrage and we were back in the shelters until 9:00 p.m.

5 minutes not even enough time to make a cup of coffee and back to the shelters until 10:00 p.m. Then the Hezbollah paused until 12:57 when we were sent back to the shelter until 1:15 a.m.

6:30 a.m. another alert until 6:45 a.m. and since then, a tense quiet.

Over the night,200 rockets and mortars flew into Israel. At least 20 UUAVs also came for a visit, and for dessert, a few Iranian ballistic missiles aimed at the center and south.

Trump to Israel: Green Light to Do What’s Necessary to Defeat Hezbollah

Including a ground incursion into Lebanon as needed. It seems pretty clear that both nations know that this is the opportunity for victory—not a “mowing the lawn” type of operation as many referred to Israel’s battles with Hamas and Hezbollah in recent decades.
