Dueling protests clash in Times Square during ‘International Day of Outrage’

Tensions were high in New York City as dueling groups of pro-Palestinian and pro-Israel protests clashed in Times Square on Friday.

Organizers of the pro-Palestinian side called this the “International Day of Outrage,” calling for a stop to Islamophobia, a demonstration in solidarity with Palestine, marking the last day, and last Friday of Ramadan. Organizers say the goal of the rally was to take a stance against the occupation of Palestine.

Pro-Israel demonstrators then showed up to confront that rally hoping to put an end to antisemitism, with Eyewitness News video capturing a few skirmishes on camera, when the NYPD had to physically separate both sides.

I mean, it was billed as a “Quds Rally”

Chants of “Long Live Iran” could be heard, along with pro-Palestinian arguments.

Protesters chant for Hamas and Hezbollah at Al Quds Day rally in New York City

Anti-Zionist protesters chanted for terrorist groups, accused Israel’s supporters of eating babies and raping children, and chanted for death to Israel and the US at a protest for Al Quds Day in New York City on Friday.

Al Quds Day is an annual, anti-Israel event held on the last Friday of Ramadan, established by Iran in 1979. The protest this year took place during heightened tensions due to the US-Israel war with Iran.

“This Al Quds Day holds a special significance as the United States and its puppet Zionist regime wage full-out war against the Islamic Republic of Iran. We proclaim our support for the Islamic Republic,” a speaker said, introducing the event.

“Iran is the central pillar in the struggle against US imperialism and Zionism,” he said. “A war against the Islamic Republic of Iran is a war against anti-imperialism, against anti-occupation, against anti-freedom.”

I usually do not like to curse on this blog, but, how in the ever loving fuck is the US government allowing these people to stay in the U.S.? They are supporting terrorism and enemies of the U.S. How many are actually citizens? Those that aren’t need to go bye bye. And most news outlets who bothered to cover the “protest” fail to mention the pro-Iran and pro-terrorism aspects. Heck, the NY Times, the biggest paper in NYC didn’t even bother.

“We remind the enemies that martyrdom is our highest honor and the targeting of the leader only strengthens the resolve,” he said. “We renew our pledge to the path of the martyrs.”

The protesters held signs that said, “Victory to Palestinian and Iranian resistance,” “Free America from Israel,” and with pictures of the ayatollahs.

Deport now. Let them go back to their Islamic extremist nations. And remember the politicians that allowed them in, brought them in.
