The Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunna Lidda’Awati Wal-Jihad (JAS) faction of Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the kidnapping of 416 women and children from the Ngoshe community in Borno State.

The victims were abducted on March 4, 2026, after the insurgents overran a military base and attacked the surrounding village.
