Liberals keep rallying around Oscar Belgal, whom ICE agents wounded in self-defense.
No one can dispute that Belgal is a thug and an illegal alien. The issue is whether that makes him the bad guy. According to Democrats, the bad guys are law enforcement.
The New York Post reports:
Darializa Avila Chevalier told lefty streamer Hasan Piker that accused gangbanger Oscar Belgal was just being a good dad when he tried to flee the feds with his 5-year-old son in the car Thursday…
Like a true maniac, Belgal tried to drive into ICE agents with a small child in his car. Not knowing the kid was in there, the agents defended themselves as any reasonable person would expect. Guess who Democrats blame?
“I was just so angry,” said Chevalier, the Democratic candidate for the 13th Congressional District covering parts of Manhattan and The Bronx, of hearing the illegal migrant’s history as a reputed member of the Trinitarios street gang being used against him
“To me, it doesn’t even matter,” she told Piker, who agreed.
Piker is currently the most prominent Democrat influencer. He may succeed in placing Islamocommunist Abdul El-Sayed in the US Senate. Chevalier is a shoo-in to win a congressional seat.
None of this is likely to matter to Chevalier or Piker either:
Authorities said Belgal entered the US illegally in 2022, and had amassed a scary rap sheet, including a 2023 armed robbery conviction and a 2025 bust for allegedly selling fentanyl, cocaine and heroin.
That’s who the Democrats champion at the expense of LEOs attempting to defend our borders and law-abiding citizens.
Tenants at Belgal’s previous Washington Heights apartment building told The Post he also terrorized neighbors with a machete, with one local calling him “a menace to society.”
The same could be said of the Democratic Party.
