While any gun related violent death is a terrible thing, and mass killing like the Aurora shooting is shocking, in 2010, death by firearms amounted to 8775 out of 325,000,000 million souls, or 0.000027%… compare that to the 2010 traffic related deaths at 32,788, or 1.008%. or the estimated 250,000 that die each year due to medical negligence? Shall we outlaw cars, or doctors?
