The hidden truth that could lead to my sudden death in Belgium
Writer, author, and journalist Joel Savage
Belgium is the leading producer of some of the world’s finest chocolates and beer, yet most people are unaware of this, except for the terrible crimes it committed in Africa. As a result of the failure of the Congolese to provide the quantity of rubber that King Leopold II required for the European automobile industry, children in the Belgian Congo were killed, disfigured, maimed, or had their wrists severed.
After decades of Belgian control, Congo gained independence in 1960 under Prime Minister Patrice Lumumba. Ghanaian Prime Minister Kwame Nkrumah, who had already battled for his country in 1957, had an impact on the success. Nkrumah boldly proclaimed that “the independence of Ghana is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of Africa,” demonstrating his determination to assist other African countries in their independence from colonial overlords.
Congo’s independence was not taken lightly by Belgium, which also detested Kwame Nkrumah for his role in the process. Patrice Lumumba was assassinated in the Democratic Republic of the Congo on January 17, 1961, during a period of political unrest soon after the country’s independence from Belgium. As for Ghana, the only sanction Belgium could impose on the country due to Kwame Nkrumah was to deny it its embassy. Ghana only has a Belgian consulate, not an embassy.
Considering Belgium’s horrifying and repulsive past, I wasted no time in responding to the African Community in Antwerp’s request to look into the high death rate among African patients at the infamous Stuivenberg Hospital in Antwerp. In fact, I was already aware of the rumors surrounding this hospital before the investigation, which made it the most feared hospital in Antwerp, if not all of Belgium.
The mere mention of the name “Stuivenberg Hospital” sends cold waves through the spines of Africans, because hundreds of them die while they are in that hospital. Many people who visited the hospital without suffering any major injuries were pronounced dead to their relatives, which led the African community to believe that something evil was happening there.
Rumor had it that they killed the African patients on purpose so the Belgians might have the body parts they so sorely desired. Then, on one occasion, I saw an Albanian group demonstrate against the same accusation. The energy that filled my body on the day I went to the hospital to learn the truth about why Africans who are ill don’t want to go there is beyond words. The biggest issue Black people, particularly Africans, confront is underestimation in Belgium.
They gave me a scornful greeting. They frustrated me and interfered with everything I did, yet it is obvious to everybody that they are fighting to hide something. Words are not as powerful as action. One employee claims that since the hospital has been in operation for more than a century, such things are impossible. I retorted, “No crime against an African can ever be reported in Belgian newspapers.”
Considering that Belgium built a statue for Leopold II, a lunatic king who murdered over 10 million Africans, including women and children, who wouldn’t think the hospital is murdering Africans for their organs? I left the hospital after it nearly descended into a verbal altercation and published it in one of my novels, “African in Antwerp.” I then revised it and published it in the United States of America under the title “Little Boygium, Wonderful Experience.”
It’s important to note that the high death rate among Africans at the Stuivenberg Hospital happened under mayors Leona Détigé and Patrick Janssens, not under current Antwerp Mayor Bart De Wever. An official from the City of Antwerp, Els Bruyndonckx, was not happy with the publication, so she scheduled a meeting with me. However, as it was beyond official hours, I declined. Why is 20:30 in the evening the best time for an appointment?
She later referred to the publishing as foolish, saying that “the husband is a journalist and wouldn’t publish such a stupid book.” “Your husband is a journalist, but he is not African,” I retorted. The fact that no one is concerned about the fate of Africans or Africa is regrettable. Without the assistance of a Belgian journalist or publication, I conducted the research on my own and published the findings.
Even the international media avoids discussing important issues pertaining to Africa until they get dire, at which point they act phony and rush right in. Western authorities primarily care about the Black Continent’s riches, and Africa has suffered greatly to obtain this wealth. Prior to the emergence of AIDS, HIV, Burkitt’s lymphoma, nodding syndrome, Kaposi sarcoma, coronavirus, and Ebola, the only illness on the continent was malaria, which killed many explorers. The Western media then spread misleading information that bats are responsible for Ebola, when the disease was a biological weapon.
The Belgian authorities were caught off guard by my inquiry at the Stuivenberg Hospital since it had never happened in Belgium before and, more significantly, the investigator is African. For a few weeks following the publication, police officers were on duty at the hospital to keep it safe. Did they worry that the hospital would be overrun by members of the African community? I’m still considering this question now.
On many occasions, I disguised myself and stood by the hospital, watching the events taking place inside, without the police or medical staff realizing that this was the man who had put us through all of these chores. After my inquiry, I found that although Stuivenberg Hospital had improved significantly in comparison to other Antwerp hospitals, many Africans were still afraid to visit.
When I learned that the Stuivenberg Hospital had finally closed to patients on September 18, 2023, from one of the Belgian newspapers, I wasn’t shocked. The hospital’s closure was not explained in the newspaper. However, after my investigation, I worry for my life because of what I have experienced at the hands of Google, the giant search engine corporation, and the Belgian government. Google has terrorized me so much that I wrote an article that if I had the power, I would have sued the company.
I might have been imprisoned if I had done the same thing the search engine company did to me. Google initially destroyed our legitimate health blog, “Secrets of AIDS and Ebola,” because we used Blogger, a Google-owned community blogging platform, to censor information. They also wanted to destroy the blog “Juskosave’s Ghana Crowdsourcing News,” which is also owned by Google, because it contained numerous medical crimes committed by the US, Western European governments, the World Health Organization, and the Centers for Disease Control.
They have disabled hundreds of my articles to censor information, but the most vexing thing is that they have decreased my visibility from 10,000 daily reads to less than 100 reads each day. Consequently, after bringing all of the disabled links back online, this infuriated Google and the Belgian government to the point where they continue to alter my articles and disable my blog’s pages. I now fear for my life, and I must inform everyone that this is the cause if anyone learns of my unexpected passing.
Two people reached out to me on LinkedIn last month with the following question: “Joel, I saw an article you posted, and I want to know if there are any connections between that and my father’s inexplicable death at the Stuivenberg Hospital.” “I can’t confirm what killed your father, but that’s my investigation,” I replied.
