A Bone to Pick With “60 Minutes”!

For the past 57 years, the CBS television series, “60 Minutes”, has exposed, uncovered, reported upon, and kept the American public educated as to environment, government corruption, crime, catastrophic climate destabilization, race relations, Congress, and dozens of other issues facing America.  

Most Americans think that “60 Minutes” reporters, research teams, and department heads choose the most important issues of our time.  To their credit, they have been beneficial to keep the American public educated as to what’s going on in America, and around the world.

At the same time, veteran journalists take issue with the new commander, Ms. Bari Weiss, as to sanitized reporting.

“Sharyn Alfonsi out at ’60 Minutes’ after feud with Bari Weiss, rips CBS for ‘chilling message’ to newsroom. Alfonsi accuses CBS News of penalizing her for ‘refusing to sanitize factually accurate reporting.’”

Since Alfonsi enjoyed 20 years as a top journalist at “60 Minutes”, her credentials give her charges validity. 
Journalist Brian Flood said, ”60 Minutes” correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi announced Wednesday that CBS News declined to renew her contract months after she lashed out at editor-in-chief Bari Weiss for delaying a segment about allegations of abuses at the the El Salvador prison CECOT.”  

That’s the prison where the illegal alien human smuggler Diego Garcia was shipped before U.S. Senator Van Hollen (D-MD), visited Garcia, and ultimately helped him escape the prison.  

“Liberal critics of Weiss and Paramount CEO David Ellison have accused them of bending the knee to President Trump and trying to curry favor with his administration. Alfonsi, a longtime correspondent for “60 Minutes,” insisted late last year that the decision by Weiss to hold the story, “Inside CECOT,” was done for political rather than editorial reasons.” 
“Over the weekend, my contract with CBS News expired, drawing to a close nearly twenty years with the network, including more than a decade at ‘60 Minutes,’” Alfonsi said. “Following an intense editorial dispute over our CECOT story, repeated attempts by my representation to establish a path forward were met with absolute silence from network executives. The message could not be clearer: my time at ‘60 Minutes’ is apparently over.  In the coming days, network leadership may attempt to hide behind corporate euphemisms like ‘modernization’ and ‘restructuring’ to explain away my departure. Don’t be misled.”

In other words, this incident illustrates how liberal media outlets like NPR, ABC, CBS and NBC can and do “color” their reporting.

Several years ago, Leslie Stahl, at 84 years of age, covered the water crisis in California, “Toilet to Tap Water.”  She followed the chemical engineers who took toilet water, treated it with a barrage of chemicals, and, to prove it was safe, Stahl drank a glass of the stuff.  She reported that such water engineering would save 40,000,000 Californians from “water starvation.”  

This journalist wrote her about my book, America’s Overpopulation Predicament—The Next 100 Million Americans.”  I gave the facts about what Americans face with another 100 million immigrants added to our country by mid-century. I said that no amount of chemicalizing water to make it drinkable would solve California’s problems let alone Arizona’s and Nevada’s.  Why? Because millions of people will be added to those three states by 2050. 

I quoted top experts:  “Unlimited population growth cannot be sustained; you cannot sustain growth in the rates of consumption of resources.  No species can overrun the carrying capacity of a finite land mass.  This Law cannot be repealed and is not negotiable.” Dr. Albert Bartlett, University of Colorado

Case in point: this year, the snowpack in Colorado, where the Colorado River originates, suffered 50 percent of normal. We’re in a Level 2 Drought Condition as of May, 2026.  Yet, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and California expect millions more water users, along with agricultural use.  Again, remember that every American uses 80 gallons of water daily.

The book was mailed to “60 Minutes” with impeccable reviews, endorsements and letters of recommendation.  I talked to “60 Minute” staff members. “We need a national discussion on what kind of a civilization we’re going to hand over to our children.”  The staff member said, “We’ll get back with you.”  I sent the book to Terry Gross and Scott Simon at NPR.  Same with PBS.  No response.

What it shows you, is the fact that “60 Minutes” wants to keep the American public clueless and in the dark as to what’s coming when it comes to water, energy and resources.  Of course, NPR and PBS follow suit.

You might consider the realities of the $19 billion fraud scam going on for the last 10 years in Minnesota.  Why didn’t “60 Minutes” expose it.  There’s no question they knew about it. Yet, it took an Independent Journalist Nick Shirley to expose Ilhan Omar, Governor Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison in one of the biggest fraudster scams in American history.  
The fact remains:  “60 Minute” executives cherry pick issues they want instead of bringing the American people needed information on what affects them, their children, and all of us.

Ask them to report and expose:

In-depth reporting of the Somali fraudsters in Minnesota.  Also, report on how the schools have been destroyed by Somali kids that average a 67 IQ, which means they could care less about education. It’s easier to live on welfare provided by working American citizens.

How about an in-depth report on Dearborn, Michigan where de facto Sharia Law is now practiced. How about the call to Islamic worship blasted all over Dearborn, a once all-American city.  It’s also a “No-Go Zone” for Americans that are not Muslims.

How about a report on the millions of illegal aliens stealing welfare benefits as to food, housing, education and medical care?

How about a report on American taxpayers paying for millions of children who are “anchor babies,” and millions of children who came over with their illegal alien parents?  

What about a report on the billions of dollars sent overseas as “cash transfers” by legal and illegal aliens sending money to their former countries?  It’s bleeding America’s money away, while American taxpayers pay interest on our $38 trillion debt.
