Saint-Tropez is a charming port town in the Mediterranean known for its beaches, beauty, nightlife, and history. It’s also a celebrity hub. Yes, many celebrities escape to this commune. There is another known fact that is sometimes only talked about in whispers. Saint-Tropez is known to be haunted. Tourists have mentioned seeing ghostly Barbary pirates outside of the Citadel of Saint-Tropez. Specters have been seen at a Victorian home and at a castle. Let’s look at the Victorian home. The historic Victorian home that now houses Saint Tropez Bistro & Beyond in Oceanside was rumored to be haunted by the “Lady in Blue”. Workers on the property reported seeing the ghost of the home’s original owner, Sarah Weitzel. Locals and tourists believe that Sarah Weitzel is the Lady in Blue. She is seen floating down the hallways or seen peering out of a window. One tourist saw a man praying at the Citadel of Saint-Tropez and when the man stood up, he looked at the tourist directly into his eyes. The tourist says he felt a calming warmth throughout his body. The man with the healing eyes then vanished in front of him. The tourist who does not want to be named, believes he encountered the Christian martyr Saint Torpes in which Saint-Tropez is named after. Saint Torpes was decapitated at Pisa during Nero’s reign and placed on a decrepit boat with a dog and a rooster. The boat with the dead Saint arrived at Saint-Tropez. The tourist said that when the man vanished, he heard a dog bark and a rooster crow, making him a firm believer that he saw the Saint. This story was received from a tourist guide and on that tour was my step-mother Cindy.

As for the castle, the Château de la Messardière, a 19th century castle on the French Riviera, was rumored to be haunted. The Château de la Messardière is located in Saint-Tropez, France, on the French Riviera. The castle fell into disrepair and was abandoned by the family who lived in the castle, due to their financial difficulties. It’s now a 5-star luxury hotel set in the hills above the Bay of Pampelonne. Tourists that have stayed at this hotel say that some people have complained of knocks on their door and when they open the door, no one is there. Chloe Bardin, a guest of the Chateau de la Messardiere says that when she was sitting in the lobby, she felt someone stroking her hair. The room that she was staying in, she turned in early, while her boyfriend was still at the bar. When Chloe went to lay in the bed, she felt someone next to her. She thought it was her boyfriend, but when she turned around, there was no one there. She was totally freaked out, got dressed and ran down to the bar to tell her boyfriend about her experience. On that night, they had their room switched to a non-haunted room.

The Ghosts of San Antonio’s Train Tracks
When I was stationed at Fort Hood, Texas, I stopped by at the San Antonio’s Train Tracks. I placed baby powder at the back end of my vehicle. Placed my car in neutral and waited for the ghostly children to move my car over the tracks. Well, it never happened. It’s so strange that this story is found in many States. It seems like most of the stories are the same. The basic story is a train collides into a school bus that was stranded on the train tracks. All of the children die. Now the ghosts of the children will push your car over the train tracks if you place your vehicle into neutral and let it idle.
