My group is HPI International (Halo Paranormal Investigations). Our method of investigating is different from many paranormal groups. I have now been on over 2500 investigations and the methods below have been very successful for my group. You can see some of our methods below, Happy Hunting!

ORBS – INTELLIGENT MOVEMENT
Orbs can be almost anything, from lint, dust, skin flakes, dew drops, light refractions, etc. How can you tell an orb is an actual SCF (Spiritual Containment Field)? Answer: Intelligent Movement. Case example: My group investigated a home in Sacramento. The home was haunted by a female ghost named Emily. Emily was known to drain the energy from the clients. One of my investigators said he felt “drained” and needed to sit down. I then wondered…”is Emily draining his energy?”
I then told Emily, if you are listening to me, kiss him on the mouth. With 3 cameras, we capture an orb on his mouth. This showed me that Emily was listening and followed my command. I then said…”Emily, if you are listening to me, sit on his lap.” With one camera, I capture an orb hovering over his lap. This showed “intelligent movement” and I was able to deem this as paranormal. When I investigate a home, I will place my hand on the wall and ask the entity to appear by my hand. If the house is haunted, there will be an orb on my hand.

DESIGNER ORBS
Designer orbs are the orbs with intricate designs inside them. When the photos are enhanced, you can sometimes see a face inside the orb. In one of my cases, in Del Paso Heights, I snapped a photo of the client’s backyard. I captured 2 designer orbs in the client’s backyard. I enhanced the photo of the 2 designer orbs. What I saw were dog faces in the 2 designer orbs. I asked one of my investigators what they see in the designer orbs and they said: “dog faces”. I went back to the client and asked what she had in her backyard and she said: “orange trees”. I said…”not the orange trees, what else do you have back there?” She said…”my 2 dogs are buried back there”. I told her…”look at this photo, what do you see?” She starts to cry. I ask her what is wrong, why are you crying? She says…”those are my 2 dogs!” Something like that I can deem as paranormal.

LIVING GHOSTS/RESIDUAL ENERGY
In 1974, Chicago, Illinois, a family moves into a new home. While living there, around 2am, they would see a man manifest and walk over to the couch. A woman would manifest sitting on the couch. The male ghost is seen slapping the woman ghost and then they disappear. The family saw this about 3 different times. One day the family attends the neighborhood block party. The host says “we do this every year, here are photos from our past events.” The lady of the house, flips through the photos and comes to one photo and says…”Oh my god, these are the ghosts in my house!!” The host says..”ghosts?” The host continues to say: “This couple in the photo are not ghosts, they did live in your house, there was domestic disputes, the police were there all the time, they are not ghosts, they got a divorce and the lady lives 5 blocks down the road and her former husband lives out of state, they are very much alive!!” This is a case of negative residual energy that has imprinted the atmosphere, a case of living ghosts. We have many cases like this, where the ghosts are not deceased people, but people that are still very much alive.

ROMAN CATHOLIC HOUSE BLESSINGS
I conduct Roman Catholic house blessings using holy water and a crucifix. I am about 85 percent successful with my house blessings. If the client is another type of religion, I usually have an investigator that can do a specialized cleansing. We respect all religions. In the past I had investigators that were able to conduct the following types of cleansings: Miwok Native American, Buddha, Hindu, Christian, Wicca, Voodoo, Greek Orthodox.

GADGETS & PSYCHICS
My team will bring all kinds of gadgets for our paranormal adventures, from EMF Readers, audio recorders, night vision cameras, spirit boxes, thermo meters, dowsing rods, Kinect. We also use a team of psychics. These tools, including psychics, are just that “tools”. We must prove the existence of the paranormal with either a clear Class A EVP, full body apparition in our photos or show intelligent orb movement. If a psychic says there is a ghost standing in the corner, it is up to the investigator to prove that by either capturing a clear EVP or capturing a photo of an intelligent moving orb or an apparition.

FULL SUBMERSION BAPTISMS – A BASIC FORM OF EXORCISM
If a client says they have an “attachment” I will perform a full submersion baptism on the client. This is a basic form of exorcism. An attachment will automatically leave after the full submersion baptism. I am 95 percent successful. If the client feels they have an attachment and it might be a mental situation, the baptism is still good for a placebo effect.

EVP – CLASS A
A Class A EVP is great evidence. Clear message that everyone can understand. No background noise, chatter, etc. Witnesses are present during the EVP capture. We usually do a “quick and dirty” EVP session. We say something simple like…”is there anyone here?”. We pause, give the entity time to talk and then play back. Sometimes we will get a response like: “I’m right here.” Our group doesn’t use Spirit Box responses as evidence. People hear what they want from a spirit box. I allow my investigators to use their spirit box, but whatever is captured by a spirit box is not used as evidence. Only EVPs are used as evidence, and it must be a Class A EVP.
