The Case for Trump 2024: Zionism

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

In the 2016 election, I was swept up in the Alt-Right wave and was feeling pragmatic and voted for Donald Trump in spite of my reservations about his candidacy. At the time, far right activists were unusually united behind Trump, which generated a lot of press coverage. Trump was seen as a breath of fresh air and our differences about him were set aside in favor of destroying Conservatism, Inc.

Donald Trump is still the same Zionist who came down the escalator in 2015. The man has always been pro-Israel and anti-Iran. He has always been pro-military. To his credit, he never pretended to be anything other than the Zionist he is today. It was activists who got shit-faced on their own kool aid and who convinced themselves that Trump was Adolf Hitler to rationalize supporting him in 2016. As the huge nerd and Q activist Vox Day put it so memorably, he was “God Emperor Donald Trump.”

As I look back on the 2016 election, I find myself wondering how much dopamine had to do with that election. Twitter in 2016 was a fever dream of dopamine hits for activists as otherwise sensible people lost their minds. We looked the other way when Candidate Trump addressed AIPAC and took money from Sheldon Adelson after the RNC. The fever dream was followed by a dopamine crash and depression among activists in 2017 as the mundane reality of the Trump presidency failed to live up to activist expectations. Those who drank the most kool aid and who succumbed the hardest to their own delusions of grandeur have had the hardest time returning to baseline. Indeed, some have never recovered.

Donald Trump himself hasn’t changed. It is activists who have had a bipolar reaction to Trump soaring to the heights of euphoria in 2016 and to the depths of depression in 2020. The Trump hangover has skewed our analysis in the opposite direction with everything that Trump says and does now being interpreted in the worst, most cynical light to compensate for the initial crush that activists had on the man. It has produced ex-girlfriend energy. Just as a woman cannot think rationally about her ex, some activists cannot think rationally about Trump. They have sworn off Trump like alcoholics trying to go sober.

I was always more skeptical of Trump than other activists. I was one of the first activists to break with him in 2016. I got off the Trump Train earlier than most. I think I am also early in recovering from the traumatic crash from the Alt-Right years. I have moved on from the Trump depression.

In the 2024 election, emotions have cooled and I see Donald Trump as a standard Republican on Israel. Trump is pro-Israel like older Republicans who are the most pro-Israel demographic in the country. Old people in general are pro-Israel and politicians cater to them because elderly people are the most reliable voters. Israel still has broad support in the country as a whole although it is rapidly cooling with younger voters. Still only 5% of right leaning voters sympathize more with the Palestinians than Israelis.

In recent polls, federal spending, the economy and immigration stand out as by far the most important issues to Republican voters. Israel does not rank in the top 15 issues. In March, a Gallup poll found that 28% of Americans rank immigration as the most important issue in the country compared to 3 percent who picked foreign policy and 2 percent who chose War in the Middle East. Also in March, 64% of Republicans, 29% of Independents and 18% of Democrats supported Israel’s military campaign in Gaza. FOX Geezers remain anti-immigration, but stalwart supporters of Israel.

In sum, the country as a whole is pro-Israel and the Right leans strongly pro-Israel, but American voters do not care much about the Israel/Palestinian conflict or foreign policy in general. Younger voters are also much more critical of Israel. Israel is losing political altitude with generations who do not watch cable television and who are less plugged into the mainstream media.

In my experience, activists are much more likely to vote on the basis of foreign policy and specifically on the basis of their attitudes about Jews and the Israel/Palestinian conflict. Activists are far more likely than normies to care about Palestinian human rights. This is because activists have taken the time to educate themselves about Jewish power and influence and have gone down a deep ideological rabbit hole on the internet unlike everyone else in their communities and usually in their own families. Activists then lose their self awareness and get angry at ordinary people for not understanding THE TRUTH. This often involves succumbing to the delusion that normies can be punished into having the same issue preferences as activists who are socially isolated in their internet silos with other activists.

In weighing whether to vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 election, I have concluded that my vote does not matter on the issue of Zionism because every conceivable outcome is guaranteed to produce the same result. It doesn’t matter whether Donald Trump, Kamala Harris or RFK, Jr. wins. We will have a pro-Israel foreign policy for the next for years. All three candidates are Zionists. Voting for Trump leads to a pro-Israel foreign policy. Choosing to sit out the election and Trump, Kamala or RFK Jr. winning leads to a pro-Israel foreign policy. Therefore, there is no reason to vote on the basis of this issue.

The pillars of Jewish power in this country are 1.) Jewish media control, 2.) Jewish donors corrupting the political process and 3.) old people voting who are pro-Israel. My precious vote or lack thereof does nothing about the first two and sitting out the election only reinforces the importance of the third. I could chose not to vote for Trump to “send a message” and it would be received like it was in 2020, which is to say, it would change nothing. Jews would still control the media. Miriam Adelson would still purchase the Republican nominee. Public opinion would remain pro-Israel. The Jewish mafia centered on AIPAC would remain intact. Politicians would still respond to these structural incentives.

Even if we had the activist dream of a “based anti-Zionist president,” the president would remain a hostage of Congress, which is controlled by the Israel Lobby and where there are more than enough votes to 1.) overrule the president on issues like foreign aid and declaring war and 2.) impeach the president if necessary so that powerful Jews get their way. Barack Obama, Donald Trump and Joe Biden have all come to personally despise Bibi Netanyahu. They all have to kiss his ass and deal with him though because of the stranglehold that AIPAC has on Congress. The activist focus on the presidency in misguided. Jewish activists are focused on pouring resources into House races and Senate seats to crush opposition. Ask Jamaal Bowman who was taken out by AIPAC in the most expensive House race in history.

In the 2020 election, I recall activists came up with the notion that it was better for Joe Biden to win because he would be less pro-Israel and anti-Iran than Trump and would care more about Palestinian human rights. The present genocide in Gaza, the proxy war that has broken out with Iran in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, the draconian crackdown on pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses, the TikTok ban, the Anti-Semitism Awareness Act and the $26 billion foreign aid package that was given to Israel ought to have quieted this line of argument. Finally, the revolt of pro-Israel Democratic donors who overthrew the sitting president of the United States in a bloodless coup should have removed all doubt. The Democratic donor class is more powerful than ever and have much more power over Kamala Harris than Republican donors have over Donald Trump whose power comes from his cult of personality. The difference between Trump and Kamala Harris is that the latter is purely an elite creation.

Is a Kamala Harris victory a moral victory for Palestinian human rights? What message are we sending by ratifying the status quo? Democratic donors put their foot down and crushed the pro-Palestinian student protests. Democratic donors took Joe Biden on a fishing trip. Democratic donors purged critics of Israel like Jamaal Bowman. Democratic donors buck broke the anti-Zionist Left. Trump winning the 2024 election will be attributed to his cult of personality and miraculous comeback story. Kamala Harris winning, however, will be attributed to all these extreme actions by the Democratic donor class.

My final reason for preferring a Trump victory is that other issues are simply more important to me. I do not believe in universal human rights. I do not like Israel. I look at the conflict between Israel and Palestinians through more of a Christian isolationist perspective. I have shared the videos and feel terrible for what has happened to the Palestinians. I resent Israeli control over American foreign policy. Ultimately though, I believe what happens here is more important than what goes on over there. Demographic change is more important than what goes on in places like Gaza or Syria and voting on the basis of Zionism is not even going to change our foreign policy.

Regardless of who is the next president, I think Israel will continue to destroy its public image and lose support with younger Americans. I do not think a war with Iran is likely after direct Iranian missile strikes on American bases under Trump and on Israel under Joe Biden. Trump and Biden have both chosen to deescalate tensions with Iran at critical moments. Also, Trump was unwilling to go to war with Iran with John Bolton serving as his National Security Advisor. Iran has also repeatedly chosen face saving gestures and passive aggressive support for militias over all out war. Nothing that I have seen leads me to believe that either Trump or Kamala Harris is preparing to go to war with Iran.

I am under no illusions about Zion Don.

I fully expect Trump to be a pro-Israel president.

If we had taken the time to listen to what he what he was actually saying in 2016, this would not have come as a surprise. There is not going to be a “based anti-Zionist president” until public opinion shifts due to generational turnover and we are at least a decade or two away from that. In the meantime, the most constructive course of action would be to continue educating young people about Jewish power and influence and trying to elect more people like Thomas Massie and Lauren Boebert to Congress who can hide behind deficit hawkery and isolationism to vote against the Israel Lobby. We should also recognize that this should not be a point of division because there is nothing we can do about it anyway. None of us have billions of dollars to throw into national politics or platforms that can reach old people and change their minds or the popular support to get out away on the issue.
