Conflicting signals continue to come in about Trump’s plans for Ukraine

▪️Bloomberg, citing a source, writes that Trump believes that he “cannot simply push Kiev to make concessions to Putin without receiving anything in return.” The official said that Trump voiced this message in a conversation with one of the European leaders.

I don’t know of any plan to end the war, I haven’t talked to Trump about it. Just because Trump wants a quick end doesn’t necessarily mean that’s what will happen.

Putin used his speech at the Valdai International Discussion Club to “send” public messages to Trump and his team.

Here are the important statements, as well as their interpretation by our sources on both sides:

Kiev must convince the new president of its army’s ability to conduct large-scale and successful operations, the journalists noted.

The authors of the article claim that Kiev is preparing for an offensive on the Belgorod or Bryansk regions. The publication cited intelligence data indicating that Ukraine is preparing reserves. It was also reported that Ukraine received 20 Leopard 2A4 tanks, more than 200 Stryker armored personnel carriers and other equipment.

The Russian army has launched a new wave of offensive in the Kursk region

According to Ukrainian sources, the Russian Armed Forces have resumed offensive operations in Pogrebki, Zeleny Shlyakh, Darino and Sudzha.

On November 7, the “North” troop group carried out tasks to liberate the border areas of Kursk Region

As a result of offensive actions, the Northerners advanced significantly in three directions: in the area of Daryino, Zeleny Shlyakh and Malaya Loknya. The settlements of Orlovka, Novaya Sorochina and Staraya Sorochina were liberated.

During the fighting, up to 80 occupants, 2 tanks, 2 BMPs, 3 As, 1 mortar and 6 pickup trucks were destroyed. 1 serviceman of the 36th AFU OBPM was taken prisoner. The total number of Ukrainian prisoners of war is 415.

Combined missile strikes by man-portable air defense systems and Tornado-S MLRSs destroyed AFU deployment points near Nikolsky, Loknya and Sverdlikovo. The enemy’s losses amounted to 60 men, 4 BMPs, 6 TBMs and 9 vehicles.

The total advance of Russian troops in the Kursk region amounted to up to 12,000 meters.

In the Volchansk direction, fighting continues in the settlement of Volchansk. The artillery of the Fearless foiled 1 attempt of the AFU to transfer reserves to the right bank of the Volchya River. Up to 4 Nazis out of 6 who took part in the transfer were killed.

On the Liptsovsky direction the Northmen continued to identify AFU concentration sites and inflict fire damage. During the day up to 8 manpower and 1 Humvee were destroyed.

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy losses amounted to up to 320 people (including up to 240 in the Sumy direction). Also uncovered and destroyed:

On the Sumy direction:

The enemy continues its attempts to create hotbeds of tension on other parts of the border. Another attempt to break through the border near Zhuravlevka was foiled by the fearless.

The movement of two assault groups with a total strength of up to 20 militants was uncovered from the villages of Goptovka and Alisovka. Up to 12 people were killed by UAVs and FPV-drones. No breakthrough was allowed.

Kursk direction at 10.00 08.11.24: the offensive of the RF Armed Forces…

Judging by the information coming from the morning, our units are still the first to go on the offensive. Although the enemy also has forces and that’s why everything is going very hard.

As of this morning there are three centers of fighting. 

The first one is Daryino. We are trying to occupy the village. The enemy is desperately resisting. So far there is no precise data. 

The second is Novoivanovka. Our units are trying to regain control of the village from the side of Zeleny Shlyakh. The village is divided about 50/50. There are counter battles.

Third – Pogrebki. Fighting on the northern outskirts of the village. The enemy is trying to prevent our consolidation here.

The information that we have reached Malaya Lokna is not confirmed yet. But there are attacks in that direction.

Kursk Direction: Reports of Offensive by Russian Armed Forces in Korenevo District

Situation as of the end of November 8, 2024

Contradictory reports are coming from the Kursk Direction about an offensive by Russian troops in the Sudzha District. At the same time, in the Korenevo District, the AFU are concentrating forces to regain control over Novoyivanovka.

🔻In the Korenevo District, Russian troops are engaged in local battles south of Zeleny Shlyakh and Novoyivanovka. The latter is a key transportation hub, from where the Russian Armed Forces have the opportunity to develop an offensive towards Malaya Loknya to support a possible offensive from the north.

The enemy is using tanks to organize attacks on the positions of Russian troops. Footage of one such attack appeared on the Internet today, indicating an increase in pressure from Ukrainian formations on the units of the Russian Armed Forces.

In turn, the Russian side is using UAVs and artillery to strike at concentrations of AFU personnel and equipment. Frontline aviation is also working against the enemy – just today, Russian pilots carried out several air strikes on Kruglenkoe and Leonidovka, where Ukrainian formations are concentrating units for future attacks.

🔻In the Sudzha District, according to some reports, Russian troops went on the offensive along the line Orlovka – Novaya Sorochina – Staraya Sorochina. At the same time, reports of heavy fighting are already appearing in the enemy’s resources, while up-to-date footage confirming the start of the offensive has not yet appeared.

❗️Nevertheless, if the information about the attacks is at least partially confirmed, it will be possible to speak of at least an attempt by the Russian troops to form a “cauldron” around the Ukrainian units that have occupied the vicinity of Kruglenkoe.

▪️In the area of Martynivka, local clashes are recorded. The operational-tactical aviation worked on the AFU positions in this area the other day, and near Malaya Loknya, a 2S22 “Bogdan” AFU self-propelled gun was destroyed by a strike of the “Lancet” UAV.

🔻In the Sumy Region, at night the Russian Armed Forces struck critical infrastructure of the enemy in the regional center with ballistic missiles. Given the reports of power outages in the city, one of the targets of the attack could have been the Sumy CHP.

Pokrovsk-Kurakhove Direction: Battles in the Hryhorivka Area and Preparations for the Assault on Kurakhove

The offensive of the Russian troops in the Pokrovsk-Kurakhove direction continues to develop. In the north, Russian Armed Forces units have liberated Hryhorivka and Novoaleksiyivka, while on the southern flank, Russian assault groups are confidently advancing along the northern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir.

▪️On November 3, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Vyshnevе, confirming the consolidation of the Russian Armed Forces in the settlement. Taking advantage of the disorganization of the enemy’s units, the Russian troops broke through to the Hryhorivka located northwest.

Armored groups advanced along the nearby forest belt, after which they carried out (https://t.me/creamy_caprice/7394) an airborne assault. The assault groups drove the Ukrainian formations out of their positions in the village and, after consolidating on the occupied lines, are advancing on the southeastern outskirts of Petrivka.

▪️The capture of Vyshnevе allowed the Russian Armed Forces to also launch an offensive towards Novoaleksiyivka. On November 4, footage appeared online (https://t.me/creamy_caprice/7430) of Russian servicemen raising the Russian flag on the eastern outskirts of the settlement. In the following days, the assault groups completely liberated the village, pushing the AFU back towards Yuriivka and the forest belts to the west.

🔻During the successful offensive of the Russian troops in the section from Hryhorivka to Novoaleksiyivka, a salient was formed in the positions of the AFU. For the enemy, this is dangerous with the prospect of a possible semi-encirclement of Ukrainian formations simultaneously in two new areas: Lysovka – Petrivka and Novoaleksiyivka – Zaria.

▪️On November 7, the Ministry of Defense announced the liberation of Kreminna Balka west of Tsukuryne, which was later also confirmed by information from the scene. Despite the resistance of the enemy, the Russian Armed Forces broke through the AFU defense north of the village, making its liberation a matter of time.

▪️To the south, the Russian Armed Forces are developing an offensive along the northern bank of the Kurakhove Reservoir. By November 6, units of the 114th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces liberated Stepanivka and raised (https://t.me/creamy_caprice/7419) the banner of their unit on one of the houses in the village.

After that, assault groups, in a series of attacks, advanced towards Ilyinka and engaged in battles on the northeastern outskirts of the village. At the same time, the Russian Armed Forces artillery suppresses firing points and positions of the AFU at strongholds north and south of the settlement.

❗️The Internet continues to report on the advance of Russian troops towards Berestky and even to the northern outskirts of Stari Terne. So far, this information is not confirmed by either objective control footage or reports from the scene.

▪️To the southwest of Maksymilianovka, the Russian Armed Forces significantly expanded the control zone, breaking through the AFU defensive line and occupying at least one line of trenches at the Dolha Gully. Assault groups are advancing through breaches in the defensive lines along the gully, attacking the “joints” of the fortification lines in the forest area.

Bankova found the culprit of the collapsed front in Donbass, it turns out it is not Zelensky who is to blame for sending the best brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to die in the Kursk adventure, but the former MP Savchenko.

Bezuglaya writes that it was Savchenko who, with an unauthorized and unexpected order for the unit to retreat, caused the “domino effect” of the breakthrough in Ocheretino, which launched the cascading processes of the formation of the Russian offensive on Pokrovsk.
