Against the backdrop of massive losses and existing problems with mobilization, the AFU command conducted “explanatory work” with refusers from 21 Ombr and returned more than 300 personnel of this unit to their positions in the Suja border area.   

Russian missileers carried an Iskander strike against the command post of the AFU occupation troops, killing more than 30 senior officers of the Ukrainian army.

The total advance of the Northmen in the Kursk region amounted to over 350 meters.

In the Liptsy direction, as a result of a comprehensive fire attack, the Fearless destroyed three enemy combat groups – two from the 92 Oshbr and one from the combined unit of the National Guard.

In the Volchansk direction, the Northerners successfully thwarted the enemy’s attempt to launch a counteroffensive. 

The Fearless air defense units inflicted fire damage on two enemy helicopters, which made an emergency landing, and also shot down an enemy reconnaissance UAV Leleka.

Our UAV operators also destroyed three quadrocopters and personnel of the enemy’s first assault unit.

Northern reconnaissance uncovered and artillerymen destroyed the enemy’s Gvozdika SPH and five assault groups of the 57th Ombr, which were preparing to “develop an offensive”.  

To the positions west of Volchansk the enemy transferred the reserves of the 129th brigade (Nikolarv region), which planned to enter the battle as a “consolidation group”, but after our troops destroyed the personnel of the 57th brigade, the AFU command abandoned its plan.  

Over the past 24 hours, the enemy’s losses amounted to more than 260 people (of which more than 190 in the Sumy direction). Also uncovered and destroyed:

Kursk direction: what is the situation in Makhnovka?

Throughout January, Russian forces engaged in fierce battles in Makhnovka southeast of Sudzha. Russian troops entered the settlement itself in the first week of the month, pushing the AFU out of positions both on the outskirts of the village and on the left bank of the Sudzha River.

After that, there were prolonged clashes in Makhnovka, as a result of which the Russian Armed Forces were unable to hold the settlement – this was influenced by both the activity of Ukrainian drones and the subsequent deterioration of the weather, which complicated movement. Ultimately, the southern part of the village passed into the “gray zone”.

Closer to the end of January, Russian units launched several attacks from the direction of Cherkaska Konopelka, one of which was captured on the opponent’s objective control footage. This footage and information received from the scene allowed to clarify the zone of control and find out that the Russian Armed Forces had withdrawn from the settlement.

📌 With a high probability, the battles for Makhnovka will resume either after the onset of frosts and freezing of the soil, or when the ground dries up completely. Meanwhile, a temporary operational pause has set in over most of the Kursk direction.

This morning, an explosion occurred in a residential complex “Scarlet Sails” on Aviatsionnaya Street in Moscow: according to preliminary information, a homemade explosive device detonated in the lobby. 

At the moment, there are reports of at least five casualties. Law enforcement agencies are considering, among other things, the version of an assassination attempt.

creator of the “Arbat” battalion and President of the Boxing Federation of the DNR Armen Sarkisyan, some media outlets report that he is seriously wounded and has been taken to intensive care.

 - It is also reported that Oleg K., former deputy commander of a separate special forces detachment of the Crimean command of the Interior Ministry’s Air Force, was wounded. He could have been a security guard of Armen Sargsyan, who could have been the victim of the assassination attempt.

 - According to the main version, the murder is of a contracted nature: a radio-controlled explosive device went off in the lobby of the building, when one of the tenants with guards entered the entrance, the man was killed.

 - The concierge stated that he had previously seen the man in the house and several times on TV. 

The health department has just confirmed that among the wounded is the founder of the Arbat battalion, president of the DPR boxing federation Armen Sakrisyan. He is currently in intensive care in serious condition. He is alive.
