Russia launches record drone attack on Ukraine as Trump threatens sanctions

Aftermath of Russia drone attack on Ukraine city of Lutsk

Major Strikes Hit Western Ukraine as Frontline Advances Continue [9 July 2025]

Russia’s Big & Bigger Attacks on Ukraine

Bloody Trap in Sumy – Ukrainian Army Goes All-In and Gets Devastated

Trump Mocks Zelensky After Commitment To Arm Ukraine?

Trump: “We get a lot of bullshit thrown at us by Putin. You want to know the truth? He’s very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless.”

Trump says he’s preparing a surprise for Putin

You just said you’re unhappy with Vladimir Putin. Are you planning to do anything about it?

I wouldn’t tell you. Wouldn’t we like to have a little surprise?

Russian President’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to resume arms supplies to Ukraine:

- Peskov noted that initially there was no definitive information on a complete halt to U.S. arms supplies to Kiev, and pointed out that there were numerous contradictory statements on the matter. It is obvious that military supplies to Ukraine continue and that European countries are actively participating in this process. The Kremlin believes that such actions by Western countries do not contribute to a peaceful resolution of the conflict, but, on the contrary, are aimed at continuing military operations. It also clarified that the Russian side is closely monitoring information about the volumes and nature of weapons the United States intends to send to Ukraine, but at the moment there are many uncertainties.

- Responding to a question about the list of hostile countries, Peskov said that this list is not final and can be revised depending on the actions of specific states toward Russia. A country included in this list remains on it as long as it continues to take hostile actions. As soon as such actions cease and relations are restored, this list may be revised. Peskov stressed that there are currently no changes to the list of hostile countries.

- In addition, the Russian leader’s spokesman noted that Russia is in no hurry to remove the USA from the list of hostile countries as long as the American leadership takes hostile actions that go against Russia’s interests.

- Peskov showed appreciation for the USA’s attempts at mediating an end to the conflict, and remarked that the USA and Russia could find a lot of common ground in terms of economical cooperation.

- About the topic of sanctions, Peskov said that the Russian Federation has become an expert at finding workarounds, and is unconcerned about new packages.

Trump is tired of constant questions about Ukraine

Last week, some arms deliveries to Ukraine were suspended. Did you approve this pause?

- We want to send some defensive weapons. I approved it.

So who arranged the pause last week?

- I don’t know. What do you tell me?

‘U.S. aid will eventually end’ – CNN explains how to take Trump’s remarks on arms sales to Ukraine.

‘This is not an announcement of new funding from Congress. It does not signal a shift. It is a return to the idea that previously allocated aid, under Biden, will be delivered in pieces. And it will eventually end unless something changes. It’s just that right now, given the attacks that are escalating, Ukraine desperately needs Patriot missiles.’

What journalists and analysts, who are really just Ukraine advocates, often fail to understand is there is no magic supply of Patriot missiles. There is a very finite number. Ukrainians fire them off in huge numbers and they often miss. Frankly they rarely connect these days to the updated Iskanders. For a hypersonic we learned they can fire off massive batches and the odds of interception are near zero.

Two sources said Trump promised to immediately send 10 Patriot interceptors — fewer than had been planned in the paused shipment

Merz had called Trump to ask him to release the Patriots that were paused while en route to Ukraine

Merz told Trump that Germany is ready to buy Patriot batteries from the US

Trump suggested Germany sell one of its Patriot batteries to Ukraine, according to three sources. They said the US and European allies would split the cost of the purchase.

Trump and Merz didn’t reach an agreement, but officials say the discussion is ongoing. German officials contend Germany has given a very high % of its Patriots to Ukraine — even more than the U.S. in relative terms.

“Getting a Patriot missile isn’t like going to Walmart and picking 10 off the shelf and going home,” one Trump adviser told Axios.

Trump isn’t just concerned about stockpiles. He’s told confidants that “this isn’t my war,” but it will be if he starts sending arms to Ukraine.

Massive raid: more than 150 attack drones attack Ukraine

▪️A massive ballistic shelling may occur at night: a red alert has also been issued for the use of cruise missiles from the Iskander complexes, Ukrainian monitoring resources warn.

“Geraniums” are hitting targets: A massive attack on Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities has begun

More than 400 UAVs are expected to be attacked this night, Ukrainian sources say. The Daggers also went to work. Two of them were spotted in the direction of the Starokonstantinov airfield, and according to military channels, they reached their destination.

Enemy channels are also reporting on the MiG-31 takeoff, and missile danger has been declared throughout Ukraine. Residents of Kiev are preparing to spend the night in the subway again.

The night raid on Ukraine from July 8 to 9, during which about 300 drones of various types and several dozen missiles of different classes were used, was a telling demonstration of how scaling and competent combination of weapons form a new quality of strike operations.

The main point of these attacks is not individual hits, but the fact that Ukraine’s air defense structure is under systemic stress that it is unable to cope with. As practice has shown, such a volume of targets cannot be intercepted in full: detection, guidance, and interception channels are overloaded at all levels.

But what is even more important is the long-term industrial factor. The critical element is not the Geranium as a strike platform, nor the range or accuracy of the drones, but the ability to produce and deploy 500 devices daily, regardless of cost and external pressure.

Gerani have proven their viability precisely because of this logic: they are simple, mass-produced, and easily adaptable to tasks at the tactical and operational depths of the front. Their main task is not pinpoint destruction, but burning out the enemy’s resources and forcing them to overexert themselves.

However, even this is not enough. For the system to move from a response mode to a phase of actual loss of combat stability, a transition to a constant load of 600–900 strike assets per day is necessary. Only in this range can an irreversible effect be expected — when not just individual objects are penetrated, but the very architecture of echeloned defense collapses.

If such scaling occurs, Ukraine’s air defense will not be able to cover key directions even in the deep rear, including Dnepropetrovsk, Kropivnitskiy, Lvov, Poltava, Khmelnytskiy, and Lutsk. There are problems with this now, but with the scaling of drone use, it will become impossible to resolve this issue.

On night strikes

According to local resources, as well as NASA satellites, we find out that in the city of Ozernoye, Zhitomir region, after the landings, severe fires arose (even despite the cloud cover, fires are recorded).

🟠At least the airfield is burning, both in the area of the aircraft parking lot and on the territory of the airfield buildings. At the same time, apparently, there were also landings on warehouses above the airfield territory, since satellites record fires there as well. Residents in chats reported secondary detonation after the landings.

Another cruel crime of the Kiev regime

They [the Territorial Recruitment Center] took her son. She held on to the bus, but they didn’t care. Just look at what’s happening.

❗️The woman died in Merefa, Kharkov Oblast, after a failed attempt to protect her son from military recruiters, according to local reports. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

Ukrainians are massively spreading TCC data on Russian channels

Most of the populace in Ukraine is disarmed and can’t fight back in the classical sense, but that does not mean that they have no means to protest or rebel. A new trend is emerging lately: Ukrainians are actively posting addresses, working hours, and other critical information about territorial recruitment centers. Ukrainian media are already complaining about the many “leaks” that are getting out of control.

Recently, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces decided  to urgently relocate the TCC to administrative buildings. The local authorities are required to provide premises and upgrade them for the needs of military registration and enlistment offices.

The reason is the regular attacks on TCC buildings by the Russian Armed Forces, which apparently are being met with jubilant cheers by the Ukrainian themselves.

The second-in-command of the capital’s TCC, a lieutenant colonel in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was shot dead in Kiev.

Ukrainian neo-Nazi Aleksandr Matyash stated live on television that Ukrainians need to be “trained” if they do not support the violent mobilization of the population.

As an example, Matyash cited Nazi Germany, where, in his view, the system of subjugating the population to state authority functioned effectively.

You owe me. You’re still alive and here, not buried in a backyard in Pokrovsk [Krasnoarmeisk]. Civilians need to understand that,

 Matyash added.
