Trump will take immense heat for working to bring the war to an end. Ukraine and vested interests in Russia’s demise will suffer inevitable loss. This war was totally unnecessary and engineered. Trump has a lot of complicity. He can not blame it all on Biden. Now he has an opportunity to add ending the war to his legacy.
His approach to dealing with critics can include the declaration that ending the war is the right thing to do for the good of everyone. Trump can backpedal his prior pro-war position and virtue signal at the same time by him and his administration repeating the mantra that it’s the right thing to do. Repeat the mantra in conjunction with pointing out the obvious overwhelming Russian dominance backed up by an overwhelming nuclear deterrence.
