Zorro Ranch, now known as Rancho de San Rafael, is a 7,600-acre estate in Stanley, New Mexico, approximately 30 miles south of Santa Fe. Formerly owned by the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the property is currently undergoing redevelopment into a Christian retreat.
The New Mexico House of Representatives recently voted unanimously to create a bipartisan “Truth Commission” to investigate alleged criminal activity at the ranch during Epstein’s 26-year ownership. Investigators seek to identify ranch guests, staff, and state officials who may have been involved in or aware of alleged sex trafficking and abuse. The commission also aims to address rumors of bodies being buried on the land. The $2.5 million investigation is funded by a settlement between the New Mexico Attorney General and financial institutions regarding their failure to identify trafficking at the site.
