Trump has very little credibility that he has pursued peace between Russia, US, and Ukraine. Trump violated the intermediate missile treaty with Russia. He has continued sending massive military aid and funding to Ukraine. He has also been making non-stop threats against Russia and sanctioning them. His recent threat to impose secondary sanctions would be an absolute act of war. America is the chief enabler and purveyor of this war. Even though the UK and Europe seem to rival Trump in rhetoric and provocation, they cannot keep the war going or avoid their own demise without the US. The US overthrew the govt of Ukraine and propped up an anti-Russian regime. Then NATO was going to install missile defenses in Ukraine that have offensive capability, thus creating a Cuban missile type crisis for Russia. Why would Putin believe Trump has any sincerity? Is Trump compromised by Europe? Or is Trump totally onboard with all this war and provocation?

Trump is completely disingenuous until he recognizes and endorses Russia’s security needs. He also needs to acknowledge Russia’s legitimate reason for invading. He needs to defend Russia’s actions,; then, he can work with Russia to end the war and salvage whatever is left of Ukraine, for the good of Ukrainian people.
