There has been tremendous jubilation and consternation in Christianity between those who see 9/23/2025 as the revealed rapture date, and those who consider date setting dangerous. This date has been backed by a man, Joshua, who claims divine revelation and visitation by Jesus, lot’s of mathematical figuring of biblical events and prophecies, as well as scores of other believers who believe God has given them signs and confirmations of this date.
My position is this:
I am very hopeful this will indeed be the date. The math does seem to support it. I believe that people’s personal testimonies and revelations concerning this date could absolutely be valid. But, what if Joshua, who will be on a live stream that day, will declare at the end of the day that his claim was all nonsense to prove a point or teach people a lesson? Or what if he has psychological issues that lead him to seek attention through concoction of the story? The math, while very good, is not unlike other math and good reasoning that didn’t pan out for other dates. If this date passes uneventful, perhaps it will lead to the biblical prophecy of scoffers and mockers in the last days who berate believers that Christ hasn’t returned. I don’t think that prophecy has been fulfilled yet. Everyone is still in such high anticipation.
If this isn’t the date, don’t be discouraged, as all indications are that the rapture is very near. But I am very hopeful this is really it! I love all those who give comfort by offering evidence of how close we are to the rapture along with prospective dates that make sense for various reasons.
