What the traitorous Deep State operatives (The Seditious Six) did reminds me of the My Lai Massacre on 16 March 1968 when U.S. Army soldiers were ordered by their commanding officer Lieutenant William Calley Jr. to slaughter 347 and up to (by some accounts) 504 civilians. Mostly women and children.
This perhaps the clearest example of an illegal order there is but as those 100 soldiers who carried out that order KNEW that to disobey that order would likely result in their court martial.
By the contract of their conscription those soldiers had no choice but to carry out that order because it’s not up to the grunt in the field to make the determination of what is a lawful order and an unlawful order and they should never be put into that position in the first place.
They of course had the ability to decide if an order was unconscionable (repugnant) to their conscience and sensibilities, but once you take that voluntary step forward your ass belongs to Uncle Sam.
Only one soldier who was involved in the My Lai massacre, Varnado Simpson, is publicly known to have committed suicide. Even though there was only one, it was still one too many.
Varnado Simpson was a Private First Class in Charlie Company who participated in the massacre and later described his actions in graphic detail, stating that he “cut their throats, cut off their hands, cut out their tongue, their hair, scalped them”….
