No one has called for the military to overthrow Trump. There are many elected officials reminding our service members that they are not required to obey unlawful orders. In some cases, there may be a duty to disobey. For instance, obviously defeated and surrendering prisoners of war should be taken into custody, not murdered. Even in war, we ask that our P.O.W.’s receive this treatment, and we offer it to our opponents. John McCain, who served in the military, was a P.O.W. at one time. His captors did not murder him and he went on to do a good job in the Senate. Compare to Trump, who avoided military service, instead partying with Jeffrey Epstein, and then went on to speak insultingly about service members. No one wants a military overthrow. Just respect for our service members. They should not be asked to murder wounded P.O.W.’s.
