So, if Con-gress, gets into a Civil War and actually kill one another, is that a bad thing??? I see it as a positive.
Why do so many people not get this? The Founding Fathers deliberately set up our government with power divided up. They had just overthrown a monarchy, and they dreaded the tendency of many folks to desire a strong leader, a king, a monarch. It’s normal, we all say in our minds… If we could just find the right man to lead us, with an iron will, in the right direction, things would be so much better. But the problem is, there are no perfect human beings. Everyone has flaws that are magnified by power and flaws magnified by unrestrained ego. So Washington, Jefferson, and the others gave us a government with power separated, divided. The President must work with Congress, the Supreme Court can strike down any order of the President or Congress if it conflicts with the Constitution.
