I just had excellent conversations with the Highly Respected President Joseph Aoun, of Lebanon, and Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, of Israel.
These two Leaders have agreed that in order to achieve PEACE between their Countries, they will formally begin a 10 Day CEASEFIRE at 5 P.M. EST. On Tuesday, the two Countries met for the first time in 34 years here in Washington, D.C., with our Great Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
I have directed Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Rubio, together with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Razin’ Caine, to work with Israel and Lebanon to achieve a Lasting PEACE. Why is this meeting being suggested when Israel breaches every single ceasefire?
~ By making this statement, is Trump asserting he is in full control, that intl. bodies like the UN, nor Israel with its continued military actions dictate the timeline for the end of the conflicts — only he does?
~ Does the 10-day window function not as a genuine ceasefire mechanism, but as a strategic pause…
designed for maximum psychological and political effect?
Perhaps the objective is to force the Clans into a no-win scenario. If Israel complies, it is effectively acknowledging US dominance which would undermine its autonomy. If it breaches the pause, Israel erodes further legitimacy in the eyes of the public.
Is this meant to expose Israel’s vulnerability by showing how MAGA driven polarization is changing the nature of US backing? Are we approaching the moment when US will take a firm stand publicly against Israel’s actions? Especially since it has accelerated the annexation of West Bank.

Is the 10-day ceasefire a diagnostic window to observe which factions within the Israeli govt. and/or Hezbollah may resist or violate the conditions of the ceasefire, whereby revealing where internal divisions and political fault lines lie.
This meeting included the PMs of both nations, minus Hezbollah. If both Israel and Hezbollah have seen their weapons severely depleted, and with no further supplies, and funding cutoff, will the final agreement be between US and Lebanon’s govt. only? Does this mean all negotiations are solely based on Lebanon’s sovereignty, security?

Where the goal is to shift the narrative away from conflict and toward diplomacy. By highlighting how the operation effectively saved millions of lives, it would allow the Military Alliance and the Trump administration to pivot into a role as “global peacemakers.”

Is his use of capitalization/ALL CAPS of words, an aim to catch a reader’s attention. — where these specific words dominate the narrative. By placing the greatest weight on those specific words to denote his position as the “President of PEACE”.
~ With “solve” (vs “win”) 9 wars, is he stating he did not start any wars. Rather, he “solved” wars that have been going on for decades.
An example is the announcement of Syria taking control of all former US military bases on its territory. “US has ended its ground presence in Syria”, “the last convoy has just rolled out of the Qasrak base”.
This could be stated as a successful alteration of public perception. The announcement was absent of “end of war” narrative, rather it simply implies security transition — sovereign normalization.
