Millions now believe the fantastical theory of a pre-tribulation rapture!
As warnings of a foreign invasion, false flag attack or major disaster coming to the US in the next few months are doing the rounds, millions of Christians are consoling themselves by putting their trust in a miraculous escape. This theory – the pre-tribulation rapture – is far more popluar than the survivalist approach to impending threats but can’t possibly be correct for several reasons. Here’s the first: If there were to be an invisible return of Yeshua (Jesus) to take his faithful followers up to Heaven by a magical process that instantaneously disappears people into thin air without any warning, it would be impossible for those who remain behind to ignore the magnitude and significance of a global event of that scale. It would be the equivalent of Noah, his family and the creatures in the ark being flown up to the clouds and waiting there for 6 months until the floods subsided. If some astounding global event like that really happened, there would be extremely few people who would be able to deny that this was an act of the Almighty God and actually a great Judgment too. This would be the most amazing miracle ever seen in the entire history of the world. The existence of God after that would then be impossible to deny.
Only dumb imbeciles, mindless drug addicts or mentally deranged people would be able to ignore the implications of such a mind-boggling miracle. As a result, almost the whole world would believe in God, but divided into two opposing camps – those who suddenly believe in God and fear him versus those who believe in God but continue to curse Him and try to oppose Him. But that’s not what the bible describes for the last days. It says most people will deny the existence of God and continue in their selfish, irresponsible and destructive ways until the very end of the age. The theory of a pre-tribulation rapture is religious fantasy at it’s best.
Some rationalists might say that the idea of a resurrection is equally preposterous. However resurrection means a return of someone from the state of death, or in other words the continuation of consciousness in a form not associated with a body where consciousness normally takes place. The idea and possibility of consciousness apart from the body is something that scientists and academics argue and speculate about and the question is still not settled beyond all doubt. The matter is really not provable by scientific methods of investigation and not part of scientific dogma and so while the debate and controversy continues, our faith and hope in eternal life is not ridiculous, only hard to believe for rationalists.
The theory of a pre-tribulation rapture is however not even considered a serious topic in sober scientific and academic circles. One should always remember that Yeshua, the Messiah, had died and was left in a tomb for days before his corpse disappeared. No one saw the disappearing act so we have no way of explaining what happened. That’s NOT the same as what people describe as a pre-tibulation rapture. All we know is that the corpse went missing mysteriously and then Yeshua the Messiah began to appear among his closest friends, talking to them for several days before disappearing as mysteriously as he appeared.

…..Rapture……Where is it in the bible? Most will cite 1st Thessalonians, but that’s not about the rapture….In Ezekiel there’s a line that says (paraphrased0…” I am against those who teach the souls to fly to save their souls”.
….The rapture is a fear response in people who don’t have enough faith to believe that the Lord can keep them close, and safe during the chaos we are experiencing…..
