History and background of Jesus’ New Testament’s Covenant of Communion which God had planned ages before it was finally introduced by Jesus Christ?

First thing, first- The Warning: In the New Testament, the Bible teaches us that taking of the New Testament’s Covenant Communion is only for those who are Born Again and do not have any unrepentant sin in their heart. Each person must examine themselves before partaking the Communion so that we are NOT causing damnation to ourselves.

1 Corinthians 11:27-29 (KJV)

^“27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

²⁸ But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.

²⁹ For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body. 30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.”

Based on our study of the Word of God this is what we believe.

Our family celebrates the Covenant of The Communion in “remembrance and discernment” not only of what Jesus has done and commanded us to do but also to take time to also remember how and when God planned centuries ago as to why Jesus finally came so that God’s will could be fulfilled.

It only takes about 10 minutes to take communion in our personal time of prayer and partaking of the communion. Again, the Bible warns for those who are not Born Again, or have unrepentant sin in their heart to not take the communion.

To be clear, we believe that the celebration of the covenant of the communion is for those who have already “recognized their need for a Savior, repented of their sins, and placed their faith in Jesus Christ and received Jesus as their personal Savior.”

As we understand, Communion is a memorial of Jesus’ sacrifice for our wholeness, righteousness through the forgiveness of sins, not a mechanism to earn salvation. As mentioned ‘Salvation’ is a prerequisite before partaking of the sacred communion.

The respective scriptures (are highlighted in gray) are included as a reference source for anyone to read, understand, have clarity and build their faith as cource to study them for the first time but we do not include them during our regular prayer.

Our prayer begins with acknowledging the presence of our Father God, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, to welcome and praise them according to the Word of God (Matthew 18:20 – “ For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”)

Our observation:

Sadly, you will be also surprised that in most cases during a gathering at the church, or any other occasion, the presence of the Lord is not even knowledge or believed to be necessary. Also, Satan through the advancement in technology and now AI has succeeded in removing the presence Holy Bible ( The Word of God) in the Churches with overhead displays and replaced by Apple, Microsoft, Dell Computers or some other brands of Tablets, Laptops and Cell Phones.  The believers are being deprived of reading the God’s Word themselves and making notes or using the ‘Concordances index’ in the center of each page providing valuable resource of references to study the Word of God in depth.

Father, we come to you in the Name of Jesus to ask for your forgiveness for any words, actions or thoughts that were against Your Will or Word. We are praying for the Holy Spirit to alert and teach us to stop and repent of doing anything not aligned with the Word of God. We take our thoughts in captivity by The Word of God.

Father, we also ask in the Name of Jesus for forgiveness for having aught against anyone.  (Mark 11:25-26 –“²⁵ And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. ²⁶ But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”)

We forgive them all and pray that they forgive us. We pray for their salvation, healing, prosperity and protection in The Name of Jesus.

Father, we believe and declare that You are OUR God, The God of this Earth, The Under World, All Heavens, Universe and beyond. You are holy, righteous and all powerful, Omnipresent, Omniscient, forgiving, restoring, miracle-working, full of mercy, protection, abundance, righteousness, grace and love.

Father, in The Name of Jesus we receive and believe Your Word as it is written that in the beginning during the first six days you supernaturally called into existence with your spoken words’ things of The Earth as we know now. (Genesis 1- “Each day featured specific acts, such as creating light (Day 1), forming the sky and land (Days 2-3), celestial bodies (Day 4), and living creatures (Days 5-6)”.

Father, we believe your Word that after the sixth day you rested. You then agreed among yourselves (The Father, Jesus the Son and The Holy Spirit) to create a very new being a “Man” in “Your own image and likeness”. You called him Adam. (Genesis 1:26-27 ²⁶ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

According to Your Word, Father, you did not create Adam with your spoken Words like you had done to create things of The Earth as we know now in the first six day but, rather, according to Your Word, you took dirt of the Earth and shaped and formed Adam in Your image and likeness and then breathed into his nostrils “your living breath”. (Genesis 2:7  “⁷ And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”)- We believe the word ‘Soul’ actually meant to be as a ‘Spirit’ instead because as we learned earlier God created ‘Man’ in “our image and likeness and since God The Father, The Son and Holy Spirit are Spirit Beings ‘Man’ is also a Spirit being that has a Soul and lives in a Body.  (1 Thessalonians 5:23 –“²³ And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Father, we believe Your Word that you gave Adam supernatural, delegated, limited authority to “Replenish the Earth’ and multiply and have DOMINION over the Earth and everything that lived upon it, BUT NOT TO EAT THE FRUIT OF THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE OF GOOD AND EVIL AND IF THEY DID, THEY WILL SURELY DIE“

(Genesis 1:28 and 2:16-17- “²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth. Genesis 2:16-17 – ¹⁶ And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:¹⁷ But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

We believe that according to your Word, Father, Adam and Eve did disobey your commandment and ate the fruit and instantly they became sinners and their Spirits separated from You and their spirits instantly died. They became sinners and victims of the Kingdom of Satan.

Father, because you had created ‘man’ in Your image and likeness, You showed Your mercy and grace and after their disobedience You gave us a temporary ordinance to bring one of the selected animals that were designated for the ‘Blood Sacrifice’ to the priest to examine that it was totally blemish free. NO SPOTS NOR WRINKLES. Leviticus 22:19-25 and Leviticus 4:3.

Once the priest had confirmed that the animal brought for the blood sacrifice was free from any blemish of any spots or wrinkles, we were then commanded to lay our hands upon it and ask for the forgiveness of our sins. Then we were commanded to perform the blood sacrifice of the animal on the altar of fire to receive remittance for our sins for one year.

Father, then you gave us a prophecy that One will be coming who will remain sinless but will take our sins upon Himself and allow His body to be broken to make us whole again and allow His blood to be shed to make us righteous again and on the third day be made whole.

Due to our demands, you gave us Kings, Judges, Priests and Prophets. Through the anointing and inspiration by the Holy Spirit, Father, you gave us many books of the Old Testament, repeatedly showing us the path to repent and to follow You. You displayed Your Power of the Kingdom of God over the Kingdom of Satan. Then after the last book of the Old Testament, Malachi, was written there was no new revelations for over 400 years.

But suddenly, one night, Father, your centuries old prophecy of the One coming Messiah was manifested. Jesus was born in the small town east of Jerusalem called Bethlehem and placed in a manger. The angels celebrated the birth of Christ and announced His birth to the Shepards who were tending their sheep in the fields, The shepherds came and saw Jesus and worshipped Him.

Father, Your Word then teaches us that there were wisemen from the East who had been travelling with their caravans.  They met near Bethlehem and said they had been following the star and scriptures and seeking for the Messiah. They Found Jesus and worshipped Him. The wisemen brought gifts of riches for Jesus that sustained Jesus and His family for years as the angels guided them away to safety from the demonic-driven individuals who were planning to destroy the Messiah.

Father, we believe your Word that when Jesus was of the age He came to the river Jordan where John was urging people to repent and be baptized for the sake of righteousness.

Jesus asked John to baptize Him for the sake of righteousness and said that the Kingdom of God was nigh.

Father, your Word teaches us that when Jesus came out of the water, and as also the witnesses saw, the heavens parted and the Holy Spirit descended on Jesus’ head like a gentle Dove.

Jesus then declared that “no one could take his life except when He would lay it down and on the third day He has the power to pick it up.” John 10:17-18 –“¹⁷ Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. ¹⁸ No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Jesus then went about preaching the Gospel and glorifying The Father and declared it is the Father in Him that was doing all the miracles, giving eyes and sight to the blind, limbs to the lame, healing all kinds of sicknesses, setting free anyone who was bound by the demonic spirits, healing the lepers, opening the tombs and raising the dead. John 14:10 -¹⁰ Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Jesus then continued to do the will of the Father and followed the schedule of the Jewish feasts.

At the Feast of the Passover, Jesus gathered His disciples and then Jesus took the bread and broke it. He lifted it up and declared that it represented His body that would be broken to make us whole.

Then Jesus took the cup and lifted it up and declared that it represented the shedding of His blood to make us righteous and sinless so that we will no longer have to continue to do the blood sacrifice of animals on the altar of fire every year for the remittance from our sins because Jesus PAID IT ALL IN FULL FOR OUR SINS.

Thank you Father and Jesus for your gifts of Wholeness and Righteousness to us and to live forever and not perish. Romans 5:15-18 – “¹⁵ But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.¹⁶ And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.¹⁷ For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)¹⁸ Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

Then Jesus proceeded to give us a New Covenant. Jesus said for us to do this as often in remembrance and discernment that His Suffering, broken Body has made us whole and His shed blood has made us righteous so we can now live in The Kingdom of God the rest of our lives on Earth.  Jesus promised that after this life, He has prepared places for us in the palaces of His Father’s House. John 14:2-3 –”² In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. ³ And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”

AGAIN,WE BELIEVE THIS SELF ASSESSMENT BEFORE PARTAKING THE COMMUNION IS VERY NECESSARY TO RECEIVE THE FULLNESS OF THE GIFT OF THE COMMUNION BY GOD THORUGH HIS SON JESUS CHRIST:

This is what we believe for each Born Again believer to do BEFORE they partake the communion “as often in remembrance and discernment” all what God has done that he had prophesied centuries again and many generations finally through His Son Jesus Christ.

1. Examine ourselves and repent by asking Jesus for forgiveness for any unrepented sin.
2. Assess our own faith level to determine if we are just only taking the communion in obedience according to the teaching of Jesus and church we attend but actually not appreciating the significance of this covenant?

Matthew 17:20 – “²⁰ And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

3.  We are also responsible to exercise our own faith to believe and receive ’The Word of Jesus’ and its importance as the Bible teaches us (a) as in the case if the  two blind men “that they would be made whole “based on their own FAITH”:

 Matthew  9:27-30 – ^“27 And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him, crying, and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.²⁸ And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.²⁹ Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.³⁰ And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.

      Or (b)  the display of FAITH by the Roman Centurion’s level to believe and   receive by his own level of FAITH in the spoken words of Jesus.

Luke 7:7-10 -⁷ Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.⁸ For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.⁹ When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.¹⁰ And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

4. We have come across are we just accepting most churches belief that one will be made whole and healed when God wills to do that at His own timing or God is letting us suffer to teach us to be an example of enduring suffering.
5. Lastly, are we have been using the same level of faith as Thomas did “ I will only believe when he could see and touch Jesus himself”

John 20:25 – “²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, and put my finger into the print of the nails, and thrust my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

Now we are ready to take the communion and celebrate and receive what actually the God’s Word teaches us what He gave to us through His Son Jesus Christ?

“Jesus, as we lift up this bread, we are agreeing and are declaring that this represents JESUS Your broken body that made us whole. As we partake, we are declaring to our bodies to be whole because of Jesus’ gift to us and cursing any infirmities or spirits to leave now in The Name of Jesus.

As we lift up the cup, we are agreeing and are declaring that this represents JESUS Your shed blood that made us righteous and sinless. As we partake, we are declaring that You made us righteous in the eyes of God because of Your shed Blood and now we can call Our God our Father and live in His Kingdom in this life and forever.

Thank you, God and Jesus, for your gift to make us whole and righteous again right now and live forever and not perish.”
