This report evaluates the structural anomalies identified in the “Close-up of Man-made Structures on Mars” investigation by Liangtai Lin. By applying a metric of 1.0 mm to 2.0 mm for the primary features, this analysis tests the “mineral vein” and “crystalline growth” hypotheses against observed geometric data. The findings suggest that the constant gauge, orthogonal intersections, and detached three-dimensional nature of these materials effectively falsify current geological models for the Gale Crater surface.

The materials highlighted by the red arrows exhibit a “fixed-gauge” morphology. Using the known resolution of the hand-lens imaging system, the primary structural segments are measured at a consistent width of ~1.5 mm.

• The Tapering Test: Natural mineral veins, formed by hydraulic fracturing, inherently vary in width as the host rock stresses fluctuate.
