Found for Free on a Swap Shelf: The Book of Thoth
I found this at my local station. No, I didn’t pick up something a fellow passenger had dropped. The station near where I live in London SE20 has the best book swap shelves I’ve seen. It’s something the local community is really proud of.
I went there yesterday to drop off a couple of murder mystery novels I’d read, and came away with a copy of The Book of Thoth (Egyptian Tarot) by Aleister Crowley. It made my day, especially as the copy is in excellent condition. I already own a set of the Thoth Tarot, and I’ll take my lucky find to mean that for this month’s reading for the world I should use that set and this book.
I often blog about witchcraft on a shoestring – ways you can learn and practice magic without spending much money. Book swaps are worth browsing for occult tomes. When you find a magical book there, it’s a reminder that others in our communities share our interests.
Don’t forget that local libraries are also a wonderful resource for books you can read for free.
