It’s crazy to see real football in the news again, but don’t worry: drama is still being drummed up. Before we get to that, let the posts below serve as reminders for the moves Baltimore made this offseason:

With the addition of veterans like DeAndre Hopkins and Jaire Alexander, as well as a number of exciting draft picks like Malaki Starks and Mike Green, the Ravens were ranked the league’s best roster by ESPN:
The Ravens have the NFL’s best roster, according to @MikeClayNFL, @SethWalder and @ASchatzNFL.

Still, a familiar face said the Ravens roster got marginally worse year-over-year:
It cost 0 cents for all ravens fans to save this photo and use it every time someone says Lamar has the stars the moon and the sky as teammates. Save it for use now or 7 months later. pic.twitter.com/VOyEcECSh4

Nick Wright can’t believe people are saying the Ravens have the best roster in the NFL
“I think it’s ridiculous. I don’t think they had the best roster last year, and the roster probably got marginally just a touch worse than last year” pic.twitter.com/dV31OzzkCo
— Kevin Oestreicher (@koestreicher34) July 22, 2025
I think Wright is making a difficult argument here, especially given the fact that Baltimore’s roster is loaded with All Pro-level talent and younger contributors will improve. One of those young contributors is Daniel Faalele, who has recently been in the news for training with Duke:

I can’t speak to O-Line training the same way OT Ronnie Stanley can, so I’ll let him comment on Faalele’s development and work ethic here:
Ronnie Stanley HEAPS praise on Daniel Faalele
“Daniel’s taken a really tough approach on himself this offseason. He’s been working his butt off. Everyday he’s been pushing himself, and I’m very proud of how far he’s gotten” pic.twitter.com/JLEvnxujLm

Fans should expect the Ravens to be better up front in 2025, but if Faalele can take the next step, it could be an incredibly strong unit. Thinking of Derrick Henry, Justice Hill, Keaton Mitchell, and Lamar Jackson running behind a Top-5 O-Line causes fans to salivate.
So, can we really say Baltimore’s roster got worse? I don’t think so, but it could be fuel for Baltimore to make the final leap toward a Super Bowl in 2025. NFL legend Warren Moon thinks so:
Who wins a ring first???
Burrow, Lamar or Allen?
Warren Moon says LAMARRR.@WMoon1 @UpAndAdamsShow @Lj_era8 @Ravens
— Kay Adams (@heykayadams) July 22, 2025
Another Warren says it can only happen if they learn to close tight games.
No lie @SharpFootball just told the uncomfortable truth that a lot of #RavensFlock don’t wanna hear…
This is clip from @RavensVault discussing about a bad record when it comes to losing close games, which is quite alarming if you didn’t pay attention to the team over the years. pic.twitter.com/2drOI3CDes

While Sharp poses this as some sort of mystery, I think most Ravens fans (some of us at RSR included) think these kind of results come down to coaching:

Now, I’ll be the first to say I think HC John Harbaugh is one that 99% of NFL teams would love to have. If he and the Ravens parted ways, he’d have his pick of the litter afterward. Despite that, I also think we’re approaching a tipping point in his tenure.
The Ravens have been right there for years now, essentially since Year 2 of the Lamar Jackson era, and in many people’s eyes, it’s only a matter of time before they win a Super Bowl. If they don’t at least get there this year, don’t be surprised if changes are made.
At the end of the day, the roster is strong, the players are on the same page, and the team has Lamar Jackson at QB. There’s only one goal in mind:
Ronnie Stanley on Lamar Jackson
“Our only motivation is to get him that Super Bowl ring and bring that to Baltimore” pic.twitter.com/nFZTzCX03n
— Kevin Oestreicher (@koestreicher34) July 22, 2025
For us, and for the Ravens, it’s time to get back to work!
