30th Season Celebration Highlights Home Opener

Sunday’s 1PM game against the Cleveland Browns marks a celebration of the Ravens 30th season in Baltimore, where in-stadium entertainment will include special pre-game recognitions honoring pro football’s return to Charm City in 1996 and a halftime show featuring a number of Ravens Legends, a Marching Ravens performance and a dramatic mixed-reality show on the RavensVision video boards.

1975 BALTIMORE COLTS RECOGNITION

Members of the 1975 Baltimore Colts – fondly known as the Miracle on 33rd Street – will be recognized on-field while celebrating the 50th anniversary of their first of three consecutive AFC East titles.

PLAYER INTRODUCTIONS

Baltimore’s starting defense will be introduced out of the tunnel, while the 1975 Baltimore Colts Legends form a gauntlet for the Ravens to run through.

NATIONAL ANTHEM & FLYOVER

The U.S. Naval Academy Glee Club will perform the national anthem, while a giant American flag is held by Ravens PSL Owners on the field. There will also be a flyover by four A-10 “Warthogs” – serving as their final flyover voyage – from the 175th Wing of the Maryland National Guard.  

LEGEND OF THE GAME: OZZIE NEWSOME

Current Ravens executive vice president (and former general manager) Ozzie Newsome is Sunday’s Legend of the Game. Introduced just prior to kickoff, Newsome will be flanked by his first two draft picks in 1996 – Pro Football Hall of Famers Jonathan Ogden and Ray Lewis. Known throughout all of sports as a premier leader and trailblazer, Newsome is a Pro Football Hall of Fame player, the architect of Baltimore’s Super Bowl XXXV and Super Bowl XLVII championship teams and an elite personnel evaluator who became the NFL’s first African American general manager in 2002.

HONORARY CAPTAINS

The Ravens will recognize the following people, who each played an instrumental role in football returning to Baltimore in 1996, as Honorary Captains: John Moag (former executive director of the Maryland Stadium Authority), Parris Glendening (former Maryland governor), Kurt Schmoke (former Baltimore City mayor) and John Modell, who will represent the Modell Family, including his late father and original Ravens owner, Art, and brother, David.

HALFTIME SHOW

To highlight the 30th season celebration, there will be a halftime show featuring a number of Ravens Legends – including many players who are enshrined in the Ravens Ring of Honor. Additionally, fans will be able to enjoy a dramatic mixed-reality show on the RavensVision video boards, and Baltimore’s Marching Ravens will perform on-field. 

RAVENSWALK LEGEND PRE-GAME FAN Q&A

Prior to the game, Ravens Ring of Honor member Peter Boulware will participate in a fan Q&A on the RavensWalk Bud Light Stage at 11:15 a.m.

RAVENS NEW FLOCK SHOP

Debuting as part of M&T Bank Stadium’s second phase of The Next Evolution, the Ravens Flock Shop – the newest official team store at Gate A Plaza – will be open to fans for the first time.

RAVENS PREGAME LIVE, PRESENTED BY CAESARS SPORTSBOOK

Super Bowl XLVII Champion and Ravens Legend Torrey Smith, alongside Shelby Lasso and Garrett Downing, will take viewers inside M&T Bank Stadium for a live hour-long pre-game show, beginning at 12 p.m. The preview show, which is filmed near Section 519, highlights key storylines and offers news, analysis and special guests. Sunday’s featured guests are Ring of Honor members Todd Heap and Matt Stover.

Fans can also watch the show on the Ravens’ official Facebook page and YouTube channel, BaltimoreRavens.com, the Ravens Mobile app and the Ravens TV app on Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku.
