The Chicago Bulls 4-0 start has them atop the Eastern Conference
The Chicago Bulls are the top dog in the Eastern Conference thanks to their hot 4-0 start!
Though it’s only four games, the Bulls appear to be firing on all cylinders. Winning by 13 points against former Bulls Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan and the Sacramento Kings, hopes are high that this team can get over the hump of the play-in tournament purgatory and be a legit playoff team.
The Chicago Bulls have their first 4-0 start in four seasons
Finishing with a 39-43 record for two seasons straight and getting bounced out of the play-in tournament for the last three seasons, the Bulls look poised to turn that around after having their first 4-0 start since the 2021-22 season.

The 2021-22 season was the last time the Bulls finished with over 40 wins, posting a 46-36 record and holding the sixth seed in the playoffs, but lost in the first round of the Eastern Conference Finals to the Milwaukee Bucks 4-1.
The Bulls’ young core, mixed with solid veteran play, looks successful
After navigating his way through a rookie season that saw him play in many roles, Matas Buzelis looks like he has taken a step forward in his sophomore season, posting a season high of 27.0 points (11-for-18 from the field) and adding 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 34.0 minutes to his stat line.

Guard Josh Giddey has also shown he’s been worth the four-year $100 million contract he signed before the season. Giddey was shy of having his first triple-double of the season by two rebounds (eight), while having 20.0 points (7-for-14 from the field) and dishing out 12.0 assists (season high) in 31.0 minutes of action. Overall, Giddet is averaging 19.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 31.3 minutes.
Nikola Vucevic has also shown he’s still able to get up and down the court and maintain his high level of offense, averaging a double-double (18.3 points and 13.3 rebounds) to start the season, and averaging the highest amount of assists (5.0) during his career. Vucevic was also shy of having a triple-double in the win over the Kings, falling three assists short (seven), while having a double-double in points (13.0) and rebounds (14.0).
The Bulls must maintain this level of play from their young guys and veterans to compete with teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, the Miami Heat, and the Bucks. If they can do this, the Bulls can be looking at a better year than they’ve had in a while.
