Bill Belichick thinks Chicago Bears have key advantage over Rams
The Chicago Bears had the advantage of crowd noise over the Green Bay Packers on Friday night.

During his news conference on Sunday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur suggested that the racket of 60,338 fans at Soldier Field made it difficult for his team to communicate in the fourth quarter as the Bears outscored Green Bay 25-6 to earn a 31-27 win on Saturday night.
On Sunday night, the Bears will host the Los Angeles Rams in the divisional round. The Rams are certainly a better draw than the Philadelphia Eagles would have been had they not lost 23-19 to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.
Unlike the Packers, the Rams will face extra adversity. Los Angeles is located in the warm climate of California and plays in a dome. They struggle to play on the road in the playoffs.
More importantly, the Rams will have to compete in frosty weather conditions. The temperature is expected to be around 10 degrees come game time.

During his appearance on the “Let’s Go!” podcast released Monday, Bill Belichick argued those conditions would be unfavorable for the Rams.
“I think the conditions are, look, in the end, you’ve got to beat the team that you’re playing–you’re not playing the weather,” the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach said. “You’ve got to beat the opponent that you’re playing. But the weather will factor into the game.
“It’ll certainly factor into the execution, throwing, catching the ball in cold is hard. I think the wind is a big factor. More in the kicking game than in the passing game, but it can affect the passing game once it picks up into probably, let’s call it in that 15 mile an hour or higher range.”
Belichick thinks the cold weather will challenge the toughness of the Rams and Bears. The physical body blows hurt a little more in sub-freezing conditions.
Chicago played in those conditions last week. Los Angeles barely survived humid weather in a 34-31 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Thank goodness for the No. 2 seed.
