The Chicago Bears can trade for Maxx Crosby without giving up a first-round pick
The Bears have been looking to find a way to get more pressure off the edge. They have been rumored to be one of the teams interested in Las Vegas Raiders five-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby. This could work in Chicago’s favor as well, as Bleacher Report wrote an article discussing potential landing spots for him with trade packages. Bleacher Report’s Alex Kay gave a trade proposal where the Bears would send the 57th, 60th and 89th picks of this year’s draft for him.
After seeing the Baltimore Ravens rescind their trade for him of two first-round picks, this is a change in the value. However, this trade would only hurt the Bears in the 2026 draft and not in future years. Not having to relinquish a first-round pick for a player with two second-team All-Pro honors is massive for a young team like Chicago. Of course, the knee injury concerns are there, but Crosby is still one of the best when healthy.
He is also under contract through the 2029 season, which means this is a long-term play rather than just a 2026 one. Chicago struggled to get pressure off the edges last season, so this would answer one of their biggest question marks. It will be intriguing to see if the Bears would offer this deal and if the Raiders would accept it.
