Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham

Sophie Cunningham is fresh from celebrating the latest WNBA news on the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The WNBA players’ union and the league have finally reached an agreement, cementing plans for the May-slated start of the new season.

While Cunningham is an unrestricted free agent, the Indiana Fever are determined to re-sign her. The 29-year-old is keeping herself busy as she recovers from a torn MCL incurred in the 2025 season.

She is also keeping herself occupied with the “Show Me Something” podcast, which she hosts with her long-time friend, West Wilson. In their last episode, they discussed their favorite underdogs in the NCAA March Madness. They talked about the teams, players, coaches, and basically everything that one needs to know about the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments.

WNBA: Sophie Cunningham’s March Madness announcement excites fans

Aside from the March Madness discussion, the show is giving fans a chance to watch the Final Four live. They are giving away tickets for the much-coveted event. All fans need to do is drop their favorite memory from the tournament in the comments section with the hashtag #livefromthebracket. Fans also need to watch “Live From the Bracket,” a special segment on the podcast, on Tuesday to see how to win the tickets.

Cunningham made the announcement via the “Show Me Something” Instagram account.

Fans didn’t waste any time. One commented, “My favorite memory was in 2021 when Jalen Suggs banked a half court buzzer-beater for the win for Gonzaga over UCLA and went to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! GO ZAGS!!!”

“Iowa women’s bb making it to the final four two years in a row 💛🖤,” stated another. A third fan also wrote, “My favorite moment was the year my bracket had all wins in the first round. Busted during the second, but it was fun!”

A user gave a nod to Cunningham as her favorite memory. They said, “I remember @sophie_cham scoring 35 points against Florida Gulf Coast on March 17, 2018.”

Another supporter went as far back as 1987, saying, “Keith Smart game winning shot-1987 IU Hoosiers.”

A reader added, “My favorite tournament memory was the Syracuse championship run with Carmelo Anthony and Hakim Warrick!”

It is clear that fans are excited about the opportunity Cunningham is giving them to witness one of the most highly anticipated sporting events of the year.
