OTL: When the Board Gives You Lemons…Makai Lemon-ade
Welcome back to another Mock Draft Friday, Ravens Flock. Today we have another Mock Draft to go over.
Let me say right away that this one was a bit rough, as I was never happy with the way the board was falling to me. I tried my best to build something great, but in the end this was definitely one of my least favorite results of this mock draft season.

We start with a weird pick right off the bat. In a vacuum, I love Makai Lemon. He didn’t test that fast, but on the field, he is an elite route runner and a guy who is just so smooth on the football field:

The issue is the fit with the Ravens. They already have a smaller, thinner wide receiver room, and Lemon would just be more of the same. There is also the issue of playing time, because he immediately enters as the third wide receiver behind Rashod Bateman and Zay Flowers. Maybe in another life where Bateman got traded, this would be the perfect pick. For now, Lemon on the Ravens is still a tough squeeze.
So the obvious question is, why did I take him? Well, simply put, he was easily the best player available. It would be a tough fit with his size profile, but Lemon is a great receiver, and I am sure they could figure out some way to make it work.
On the other hand, I think Iheanachor would be a really good pick in the second round for the Ravens and is easily my favorite pick in this Mock. I just love his athletic profile, and he is an absolute mauler:
The fact that Max Iheanachor isn’t getting more first round buzz is mind boggling to me. Athleticism is off the charts, has the traits and measurables, and his technique is impressive for a player as raw as he is.pic.twitter.com/ARqB1vEJe8

The main issue with him is inconsistency; however, that is to be expected since he was a late starter to the sport. He would be an option at guard early and could then hopefully move to tackle if needed.
Orange is a behemoth of a man who is an absolute beast of a nose tackle. The way he just eats blocks for breakfast is mesmerizing:

He has some limitations rushing the passer, but he is such a good run defender and is very light on his feet for someone this big, so the pick was worth it.
Michael Trigg is the Isaiah Likely replacement at tight end, as they are almost the same size and have similar playing styles. Wright is a demolition man in the run game and Logan Jones is another strong mauler to add to the offensive line.
Black reminds me of Justice Hill as a guy who isn’t the fastest but had good vision and pass-pro tape. Canady is really solid depth at CB, who could become a starter under Jesse Minter. McMurray meanwhile is a really good potential starter at nickel. O’Neill is a solid run defender, and Cruz Jr follows the bigger, more powerful trend we are aiming for at OL.
Again, the board given was awful, but we tried to make something out of nothing, and this is a realistic situation EDC could find himself in. When the board doesn’t fall your way, you have to make lemonade out of lemons.
