Which Undrafted Ravens Have a Shot at Making the Roster?
The Baltimore Ravens’ undrafted rookie group for this year is mostly set, and with rookie mini camp set to kick off this weekend, it’s time to take a look at which players have a chance at making the roster.
It is not uncommon for an undrafted rookie to make the final roster, as just last year Keyon Martin, Reuben Lowery, and Jay Higgins IV all made the team out of training camp. All three saw the field during the regular season, and Martin and Higgins IV are still on the team.
Which undrafted rookies could make the roster this year? Let’s highlight some below who have a chance.
Nick Dawkins, C, Penn State
Dawkins might be the most intriguing player of the undrafted Ravens, as he plays a position of massive need for Baltimore and was a two-year starter and team captain in college.
More importantly, Dawkins tested as one of the most athletic centers to ever enter the draft, so there’s plenty to like here. Can Dawkins take advantage of a weak center room and latch on as a backup this year?
Diego Pounds, OT, Ole Miss
The backup offensive tackle situation in Baltimore is spotty, which gives a player like Pounds a chance to carve out a role with a strong training camp.
Second-year tackle Carson Vinson did not stand out last preseason, and he will have some competition from Pounds. Second-year lineman Emery Jones Jr. also factors into the tackle discussion, although appears more destined for guard play in Baltimore.
Pounds comes to Baltimore fresh off a third-team All-SEC season in which he started 15 games at left tackle. He also tested well at the combine.
Aaron Graves, DT, Iowa
Even after adding Michigan defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny in the seventh round, the Ravens could still benefit from more depth in an uncertain defensive lineman room.
Graves enters the NFL with an ultra-productive college career, amassing 11 sacks over his final two seasons, which is impressive at his position.
Joe Fagnano, QB, UConn
With just Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley on the roster, the Ravens have a third quarterback spot ripe for the taking.
Fagnano comes to Baltimore fresh off a stellar final college football season in which he only threw one interception. He is an older prospect, but has the ideal size, playing experience, and athleticism to at least be worth a look this summer.
Diego Pavia, QB, Vanderbilt
Just as Fagnano has a roster chance given the lack of depth in the quarterback room, so does Pavia.
The 2025 Heisman runner-up is known more nowadays for not being the most-liked player off the field, but he was one of the best college quarterbacks of this decade, so he is at least worth highlighting here.
Unfortunately for Pavia, his historically low height and underwhelming athleticism won’t do him any favors as he competes for a job in Baltimore. Can Pavia stay out of his own way enough to truly compete with Fagnano? We will find out soon enough.
Honorable mention
Lardarius Webb Jr., DB, Wake Forest
OK, there’s not much information out there on Webb Jr. He played at four different schools along his college journey and is listed at 5’9.
Ravens fans can probably all agree it would be fun to see him make the final roster, so let’s hope he can work some special teams magic in the preseason. Even if he can’t make the final squad, Webb Jr. sticking around in Baltimore on the practice squad would be fun too.
