Chicago Bears facing pushback from White Sox fans
Fans often scrutinize the Chicago Bears. They faced a lot of criticism for missing the playoffs from 2021 to 2024, as well as for drafting Caleb Williams at No. 1 a few years back.
However, the franchise took a huge step forward last season. Williams led the team to the Divisional Round and only lost 20-17 in overtime to the Los Angeles Rams. The quarterback, along with head coach Ben Johnson, proved instrumental to the team’s success. They showed that Chicago’s future is bright despite their lack of experience in their respctive roles.
The Bears face the toughest schedule in 2026 but will look to contend for a Super Bowl. It added veterans and rookies in the offseason to strengthen the roster and have more depth for the season’s grind.
White Sox fans fire shots at Chicago Bears
Chicago fans vocally support their professional teams. They have strongly backed their NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB and WNBA teams throughout the years. The Bears’ 2026 rookie class and Johnson attended a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field on Friday. Dillon Thieneman even threw the first pitch.

However, it didn’t sit well with White Sox fans.
“went to the wrong chicago team,” one supporter said.
“Wrong jersery rookies we don’t like them over here on the Southside white Sox nation,” a reaction read.
“Gross,” posted a user.
“💩💩💩💩💩💩 wrong side of the city,” another fan wrote.
“Media team gotta take this down they got the wrong jerseys on,” posted another.
“No hate to my baby bears but get my bears in some black and white please,” a user commented.
The White Sox are second in the AL Central with a 26-24 record, while the Cubs sit in third place in the NL Central at 29-22. Both teams are in the middle of the pack in their conferences and face an uphill climb to catch the top teams.
Meanwhile, the Bears will begin their three-day OTAs on Wednesday at Halas Hall. They will hold another session from June 2-4 before their mandatory minicamp on June 9-11.
