Colston Loveland drops new nickname for Chicago Bears QB
The Chicago Bears made Colston Loveland their 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 22-year-old tight end struggled early in his rookie season. He only recorded two receptions for 12 yards in his first two games.
His breakout performance came during a Week 9 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. He scored his first career touchdown on a five-yard catch, then added a 58-yard game-winning touchdown. The explosive play secured a 47-42 victory for Chicago and cemented his role in the offense.
Loveland finished the 2025 season with 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns. He became the first Bears rookie to top the team in receiving yards since 1983.

Colston Loveland coins new nickname for Chicago Bears QB Tyson Bagent
The former Michigan Wolverines standout often attributes his breakout rookie campaign to his teammates. He knows he could not have reached this level of play without them. The Bears’ locker room has a tight-knit culture that extends both on and off the field.
The close bond was on display on Saturday when Bears quarterback Tyson Bagent shared a glimpse of his personal life on Instagram. He posted offseason photos and videos showing outings with family and friends and workouts with teammates.

The post quickly drew reactions from fans and teammates. Loveland joined the conversation by dropping a new nickname for the backup quarterback.
“Dr. Bagent,” Loveland commented.
Bagent is already well-known by his popular nickname, “Secret Bagent Man.” Fans call him that because his last name forms a pun on the 1960s hit song “Secret Agent Man” by Johnny Rivers.
Bears teammates also call him “B-Rabbit” because of his impressive rapping skills. The nickname is a reference to Eminem’s character in the movie “8 Mile.”
Creating these nicknames is a common way for the team to build chemistry. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams dubbed his starting offensive line “The Avengers.” He assigned a specific superhero to each of his blockers as a way to build camaraderie and show his appreciation for their protection.
These strong connections helped Chicago capture the NFC North title last season and secure its first playoff victory since 2011. This culture of support should continue to fuel the Bears’ pursuit of a Super Bowl in 2026.
