Mics catch Angel Reese’s unfiltered message after Caitlin Clark block
Thursday night was the first time Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese faced off in 2026 as the two WNBA superstars resumed their on-court rivalry. The Indiana Fever hosted the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, marking Reese’s first game against Indiana since joining Atlanta. This is after the Chicago Sky traded the two-time All-Star to the Dream in a blockbuster offseason move.
There was, of course, no shortage of action in the highly anticipated showdown. At one point, the mics caught Reese’s hyped reaction after her teammate stuffed Clark on a lay-up attempt. The Dream star reacted strongly after the defensive stop on Clark.

Clark drove hard to the basket early in the second quarter as the two teams were tied 15-15. The former Rookie of the Year got a step ahead of Dream center Madina Okot, who, to her credit, did not give up on the play. Okot trailed the Fever superstar and perfectly timed her jump to swat away Clark’s lay-up attempt.
Reese can be heard in the background emphatically reacting to the defensive stop.
“Gimme that [expletive],” screamed Reese.

Reese went on to chest-bump Okot to congratulate her on the heads-up play. Clark calmly walked away, knowing full well that it was a clean block.
It has been a hard-fought affair between these two sides thus far. The Fever are pulling away as they look to secure their first win in three games. The Dream, on the other hand, are aiming to win their third straight to maintain their lead atop the Eastern Conference.
As of writing, the Fever are up, 71-57, with 3:57 remaining in the fourth quarter.
