OTL: Ravens to Hold a Practice at University of Maryland this Summer

Hello and welcome back again Flock. We end off our out to lunch for June with a look at something new the Ravens are trying out for training camp along with some other news & notes about the Ravens and around the NFL.

So let’s begin with our Ravens news of the day:

This is something really cool the Ravens are trying out this year. Moving stadium practices out of The Bank and into SECU stadium is something that could be really fun. It will be a different atmosphere and experience from watching the team work out in Baltimore.

Just like the M&T Bank Stadium practices, it’s free to get into and also opens up another opportunity for people to come out and support the team.  We’re not sure if this is replacing the usual stadium practices at the Bank or just adding another option. Either way, good form.

Now I want to talk about a Corner that I feel like isn’t getting the amount of respect he deserves and someone who could be a huge breakout candidate.

Nate Wiggins has been making some waves over a podcast interview he did where he reveled that this is the first time he has been 100% healthy, due to a procedure he had to fix a long term issue in his lower half.

Whether or not that’s actually the case, I still have very high expectations for #2.

One of the tings I loved about Jesse Minter back when he was with the Chargers was that he got so much good play out of so little relative talent in LA. It was mostly developmental guys and late-round picks and he got results. Now with someone as talented as Wiggins who clearly is a guy who just needed something different after last year and giving up so many yards, I think Wiggins has All-Pro upside with Jesse, and I can’t wait to see how he develops.

Now let’s get to our last point, a option for the Ravens at edge may be done for good.

I personally did not even want Joey Bosa to begin with. He is a good player but is never healthy and it seems like he might be choosing his health and well being over playing in the NFL again. While it is said to see a good player go out like this, I never considered him a realistic option for the Ravens, despite some rumblings from the Flock on social media.
