Caitlin Clark’s post on Fever teammate Kelsey Mitchell causes a stir

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Chicago Sky rival and Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark (22) talks to Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell (0) during the first half during game two of the first round of the 2024 WNBA Playoffs at Mohegan Sun Arena.

With Caitlin Clark out of action for the Indiana Fever on Sunday, it was Kelsey Mitchell who stepped up and carried the load yet again.

Mitchell led all scorers in the game with 27 points 7-of-18 shooting, to go along with two rebounds, three assists, a steal and three triples in 33 minutes of action.

Thanks in large part to Mitchell’s strong play, the Fever secured an 84-68 road win over an A’ja Wilson-less Aces side at T-Mobile Arena.

Clark, who sat out for a second straight game due to a back injury, cheered for Mitchell and her teammates from the bench. Clark also caught Mitchell in the locker room doing some schoolwork. The former WNBA Rookie of the Year could not help but poke a bit of fun at her teammate.

Clark quickly flexed Indiana’s win on social media shortly after the final buzzer. In her next post, the 24-year-old shared a photo of Mitchell working on her laptop inside the locker room.

“‘I got a discussion post’ 😂😂😂 @kelz_hoop” Clark captioned her Instagram story.

This picture is living proof that Mitchell is not only one of the best guards in the WNBA today. The four-time All-Star is also a dedicated student who is intent on pursuing her PhD.

Clark, however, could not help but see the funny side in all this. Her post caused quite a stir on X.

“LOL CC caught her doing school work,” a comment read.

“me after working 9-5 😭😭” another said.

“KELS IN THE CHAT 😉” a user wrote.

“Soon to be in the future Dr. Mitchell. Great plans for when she retires in the years to come,” a reaction read.

As of this writing, the above post from a Clark fan page on X has already amassed over 16,000 views and close to 700 likes.
