Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears officially opened training camp on Saturday, with quarterbacks and rookies reporting first and veterans arriving soon after. Quarterback Caleb Williams and the team’s rookies reported to Halas Hall on Saturday to prepare for the upcoming NFL season.

Training camp officially begins Tuesday after all veteran players report. Second-year head coach Ben Johnson will lead the first full-squad practice on Wednesday.

Williams enters his third season in Chicago after a record-setting sophomore campaign. Across his first two seasons, he threw for 7,483 yards and 47 touchdowns with only 13 interceptions.

In 2025, the 24-year-old set a franchise single-season record with 3,942 passing yards. He also finished with 27 touchdowns and seven interceptions.

His standout performance helped Chicago win the NFC North title and earned him Bears Offensive Player of the Year honors. It also placed him No. 51 on the NFL Top 100 Players list.

Caleb Williams’ look at Bears training camp sparks fan reaction

Williams appeared in one of the photos shared by the Bears on Instagram on Saturday. The image showed him arriving at the team site with a noticeably leaner and more muscular physique than last season.

The Bears star turned heads by showing off his frame in a loose-fitting black crewneck T-shirt paired with baggy, wide-leg black sweatpants. He completed the look with chunky brown suede sneakers, a sporty black backpack over his shoulders and a dark blue watch on his left wrist.

“QBs reporting for duty 🫡,” the team wrote in the caption.

Fans quickly reacted to the post, with many praising Williams’ look ahead of the upcoming season.

“Caleb looking good,” a fan commented.

“Damn Caleb so handsome,” another wrote.

“Caleb why are you so fly,” a supporter remarked.

“Ice man looking lean,” another said.

“Caleb so tuff the way he walks,” a user wrote.

“Great new look Iceman! ðŸ»⬇,” another added.

The Bears will host 10 open practices for fans beginning Friday. The schedule includes themed events such as Kids Day on Aug. 1 before concluding Aug. 25.

Chicago will also travel for joint practices with the Cincinnati Bengals on Aug. 20 and the Tennessee Titans on Aug. 27 as part of its preseason preparations.

With training camp now underway, Williams begins preparing to build on his breakout sophomore season. The Bears will once again lean on their young quarterback as they pursue a Super Bowl championship.
