I Can't Work, but I Have To Work 30 Hours A Week Or Starve!
I’m beyond freaking out! I knew this was coming and I know I have to do something, but right now I’m just spinning out. Freaking out over what the fuck I’m going to have to do to prove I can’t work due to health issues/disabilities.
Thanks to Trump and his billionaire asshole backers, the new rules for food stamps went from 54 and over are exempt from the working rules to only those over 60, which will soon be 64! These fucking ASSHOLES are requiring a huge contingent of people who can’t work, let alone 30 HOURS, to work or possibly fucking starve to death.
I can barely work 5, and it’s not a paycheck thing that tracks hours or where I do “sales” or anything like that.
I have money from alimony and Patreon sponsors and that’s IT– and ALL my food comes from SNAP. Without it, I don’t know what the fuck I’m going to do!
So I have to prove I’m too ill, which means more bullshit paperwork (or rather online forms) that are confusing and difficult to access and print out and/or share online, and I’m just freaking like crazy over it all. I’m not going to be very functional for a week or longer, as I try to wade through this process without losing my sanity. I’m already trying to work this out for my SSI application, but now it’s immediate and crucial and there’s a looming deadline. Meanwhile, I’m still having regular migraines and insomnia and can’t think well enough to negotiate all these detailed beauraucratic red tape ordeals.
Fuck.
My PTSD is off the charts. Apologies in advance. Panic attacks are very likely for some time and when I’m freaking out, I can’t write.
