Kingdom Come Book Three Now Available!

My stories often depict a world where the US dollar suffers a sudden, catastrophic failure. However, in reality, the dollar’s demise has been much slower. Perhaps it hasn’t been the kind of collapse that leaves fans of post-apocalyptic fiction sitting on the edge of their seats, but it is, nonetheless, catastrophic.

If you’ve been watching the gold price, you may have witnessed its meteoric rise from around $3400 on August 20^th to just under $4400 by October 20^th. This move represented roughly $7 trillion flowing into gold over the course of 60 days. That’s not from preppers buying Gold Buffaloes and quarter-ounce Gold Eagles. A move so substantial can only come from central banks fleeing the US dollar.

Despite criticism from the administration about him being too much of a hawk, Fed Chair Jerome Powell has just launched a fresh wave of liquidity into the markets via the new Reserve Management Purchases program. We’re likely to see a gradual print by the US central bank from now through the end of Powell’s term as chair next May. After that, expect the appointment of a super dove, who will fire up the printing press, full steam ahead, to accommodate the run-it-hot policy of our current government. A year from now, we could be thinking of $4400 an ounce as the proverbial good old days. The recent Fed announcement of a fresh round of money printing comes when both gold and the stock market are sitting at historical highs.

Central banks of the world holding US debt are waking up to how badly they’re being ripped off by this scam and are slowly making their way to the exit doors. As you might expect, US Treasuries held by foreign central banks are dropping at the same rate that gold reserves are rising. What happens when the rest of the world no longer accepts our pretty green pieces of paper?

With an annual deficit of $2 trillion and a growing debt of $38 trillion, if the governments of the world won’t buy our debt, the Fed will be the buyer of last resort. If that happens, it will make post covid inflation look trivial.

Like the central banks of the world, I also consistently look for opportunities to transfer wealth away from US dollars and into gold. I often get emails inquiring about the best place to purchase gold. I’ve always recommended JM Bullion and APMEX. For full transparency, I’ve had advertising relationships with both of these companies in the past, but presently have no such relationship with any company.

Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend JM Bullion after they botched three of my orders in the past few months. On one, they lost my check, causing me to pay a canceled check fee to my bank. On two others, they processed the payment, packed the coins for shipping, then lost the packages before they were picked up by the carrier. The conundrums were eventually sorted out, but only after several arduous phone calls, being put on hold, passed from customer service reps to customer service managers, and waiting to be contacted by the claims department. It’s not an ordeal I would wish on anyone.

Conversely, I’ve had zero issues with APMEX. I’ve also found SD Bullion to be very reliable and usually cheaper than APMEX, particularly if you shop from their Deals tab. I’ve never had an advertising relationship with SD Bullion, but as of the time of this writing, they’re my first choice.

Yes, I still like silver also, but its price action has been driven by industrial demand rather than investors or central bank buying. Silver is used in solar, electric vehicles, missiles, and data centers, which are all booming sectors right now. However, if we were to get a recession, that trend could flip in an instant.
