The Good Die Young

For those who think Charlie deserved to die, I will pray for you.

For those who think Charlie, being a defender of the 2nd amendment, that it is fitting that he died by the gun, I can tell you from what I know of Charlie, if God had told him if he supported gun control he would live forever but if he supported the 2nd amendment he would be sacrificed to it, Charlie would have volunteered.

I tried posting this on NextDoor on a thread where several people were expressing those opinions. I wasn’t able to. A window opened that said this threat didn’t exist. Apparently the administrators didn’t like what I said.

Charlie knew this was a possibility. He had received many death threats and after Butler he knew the Left was serious. Charlie knew they were willing to kill us to silence us. But knowing the Right was being censored, edited and silenced, he was going to fight to his last breath to defend free speech and the word of God….and he did.

I’ve been on X and other social media and seen some of the vile, soulless, Godless videos from people celebrating his death. Who celebrates anyone’s death? There are people I (forgive me) hate with a passion but I don’t wish them dead, nor would I celebrate their passing. Those who, like Matthew Dowd, say Charlie was hateful are demonstrating their hatefulness. Charlie was a devout Christian and lived his faith. He has no hate in his heart.

Charlie believed in the principals the majority of Americans believed in when I was growing up. We believed we were a Christian country, we believed in family, in the rule of law, the Constitution, a secure border, life begins at conception. We believed justice must be blind, that it must be applied equally. We would never have agreed to special rights given some but not others. We believed hard work and playing by the rules would lead to success. We were one nation under God. We have strayed far from those concepts. Charlie hoped to change minds and hearts and bring us back to those beliefs by having open debate with those who disagreed.

Charlie has been called a hater but that is the last thing he was. That he didn’t think we should be sterilizing and mutilating our children….may I emphasize CHILDREN, didn’t mean he hated transgenders. He said many, many times, he believed as an adult you could live as you wanted. He believed, as mental health professionals have stated for centuries, that body dysphoria is a mental illness and he couldn’t participate in their mental illness. He was not disrespectful to those who disagreed with him. He encouraged debate. He has his assistants chose people from the crowds that disagreed with him.

People who knew Charlie personally loved him beyond measure. He was kind and generous and a loving friend. No matter how busy he was he responded to them. He was the first to offer encouragement and gratitude.

I was desolate yesterday. I was watching FOX when it was announced that he had been shot. I leaped to my feet and cried NO! NO! NO!! I pleaded with God to save him. When it was announced that he had passed I cried uncontrollably that this good man, loving husband and father had been taken from our lives. My daughter called me, her best friend called me and we sobbed together.

I called my pastor and asked him to pray with me. We prayed together. He told me that as a clergy he knows he must pray for his enemies but as a military man he prays for swift justice.

The Left killed him to silence us. They made a big mistake. If you kill a tyrant his power is over, if you kill a martyr his power had just begun. We are all Charlie now.
