Are you a SUNO, or other AI music creation, service user?!?!? Creator or just Listener alike - AI Music – chain of copyright custody issues you should be aware of…. A “concern” (let’s just call it that, for now, as I am not a Copyright Attorney nor do I play one on TV or Radio)… I am awaiting (as of this post time, Sat. May 16th 2026 21:30ET) any response!

Bob did so AT/WITH MY PERMISSION, AND EVEN AT MY REQUEST,
[and THANK YOU again Bob for doing so, I appreciate you joining in on the REMIX fun (quasi REMIX CONTEST, but, no, sorry folks, no prizes awarded, LOL) - STATES OF CONFUSION remix contest I sent out via email].
HOWEVER, anyone and everyone can LIFT a tune marked available for REMIX and when a MP4/VIDEO D/L is created and shared THERE IS NO ATTRIBUTION / ACCREDITATION TO THE ORIGINAL CREATOR – AT ALL, NONE!!! THAT IS A PROBLEM. Anyone plays a shared MP3 (audio) or MP4 (video) will have no idea if it a complete new creation or cover / remix / etc… and of and from whom unless the person sharing such has the proper MORAL FORTITUDE to give the proper accreditation in share text (post, email, whatever)…
Any MP4 created based upon a REMIX needs to have (TO PROTECT ORIGINAL CREATOR’S COPYRIGHTS) an indication below the (again, using ME as an example, and a MP4/video I may generate via the suno system)…

WHEN I, do a REMIX of someone else’s creation I ALWAYS (try, apologies if any time / place I’d forgotten to) be sure to give full and proper ATTRIBUTION / ACCREDITATION to the original artist in both the SONG DETAILS and in UPDATE TO LYRICS SHEET (by example, see my REMIX of FLAWS AND PERKS (at: https://suno.com/s/IJDUbEjdpDDmxu0e) which in fact the originator and I have been in communication with and SHE KNOWS that I even give her CREDIT for that song in a follow-up / response song I created to it (see: STRUCK BY YOU https://suno.com/s/y8gDMPJmA38zB3Wg*)) to make 100% CLEAR that I am NOT the originator but just REMIX CREATOR (may be some changes to music and lyrics, but NOT an original of/by/from me entirely).
THE “ALLOW REMIX” option for every song should DEFAULT to OFF/NO, in order to protect Creators content – we can, could, SHOULD, then be able to toggle ON if we want to allow others to REMIX our tunes which HELPS PROMOTE our original BUT ONLY WHILE ON AND WITHIN THE SUNO (possibly true too of other systems? please chime in with your experience of other AI Music systems in the comments or reach out to me via https://JosephMLenard.us/contact so I am aware as I will likely be doing an AI UPDATES episode on all this soon) SYSTEM (field shows REMIX OF: XXXX by ZZZZ). But once it is OFF THE SUNO SYSTEM by AUDIO or VIDEO file (with NO PROPER AND APPROPRIATE DISCLAIMER (written on the Video screen, as video is visual and people can see it; or SPOKEN at the beginning of an Audio file) to PROTECT ORIGINAL CONTENT CREATORS RIGHTS / OWNERSHIP / CREDIT.
NOT ALL PEOPLE ARE HONEST, you should know / understand this (and not even to do with honesty, may not be reading the system TOS closely and carefully enough to KNOW what is and what is or isn’t PROPER, allowed, LAWFUL, or not (and, yes, I have a song on peeps not reading TOS and other things – see: TLDR at: https://suno.com/s/7MYuaN1zSLZVHnlz)) and PROTECT USERS by again having REMIX OFF by default and assuring people that have something of theirs COVERED / REMIXED / WHATEVER get full and proper accreditation / attribution NOT JUST WITHIN SUNO but in any MP3 or MP4 or any other means of SHARE (outside the system, that does NOT link back to where the details are)!!!!!

Depends on the Love?!?!?” https://suno.com/s/y8gDMPJmA38zB3Wg Which it is my understanding, correct me if I am wrong, that the @tsunimo version is a REMIX already of someone else and then CKY remixed the remix and I remixed tsunimo’s remix version WHICH MEANS at that point CHAIN OF CUSTODY / CREATION back to the actual originator / creator IS LOST along the way which BEGS THE QUESTION: SHOULD NOT ANY REMIX / COVER BY DEFAULT HAVE “ALLOW REMIX” FORCED OFF AND NOT EVEN ABLE TO HAVE IT TOGGLED ON?!?!?!
As chain to originator IS NOT maintained by the system AT ALL, just from what a REMIX was REMIXED from even if it WAS NOT AN ORIGINAL ITSELF. Again, 2, 3, 6, layers deep, ALL REMIXES of REMIXES should show full CHAIN OF CUSTODY from whence they fully came!!!!
Full chain of custody, full list to follow of WHO originated the song and any/all those in chain of REMIXES did a REMIX.
This protects not only the originator but too HELPS AID DISCOVERABILITY of any and all in the REMIX CHAIN (all versions GET PROMOTED, are VISIBLE for DISCOVERABILITY (we keep hearing but not seeing suno supposedly ALL ABOUT))?!?!?!?
BELOW is example of what I mean…. MY OWN REMIX [States of Confusion (Texas remix) thrash metal mix) of one of MY OWN SONGS (States of Confusion (original country-ish version).... NO NOTICE AT ALL that it was / is "BORROWED" from the original STATES OF CONFUSION by JLenardDetroit for that / this REMIX / COVER.... Obviously LESS an issue when a REMIX / COVER of one's own song / music to begin with, but LITERALLY does not stop someone from trying to CLAIM SOMETHING OF SOMEONE ELSE'S AS THEIR OWN via a Audio and/or Video D/L w/o any attribution disclaimer.
EITHER THAT, or for NOW until YOU ADDRESS THIS POTENTIAL (again, I am not a Copyright Attorney, so again I say again "potential" not "certain" courts issue) LEGAL ISSUE / PROBLEM, any tune that is REMIXED / COVERED / WHATEVER should NOT BE ALLOWED TO HAVE AN MP3 MP4 or any other form of the tune downloaded for potential sharing across social-media, email, online blogs (like HERE), whatever, EXCEPT by the ORIGINAL CREATOR OF THE WORK. ANY REMIXED / COVERED / WHATEVER tune on / with / via suno (or, again, any potential AI music system) SHOULD BE LIMITED TO A DIRECT LINK TO SYSTEM SHARE (for playing) ON THE SYSTEM where "REMIX OF: xxxx by zzzz" information is ASSURED to be accredited / attributed PROPERLY.
Those of us using REMIX understand THE POINT is to try help SHARE not just our but others' works - it promotes DISCOVERABILITY of many suno users that way which is a good thing. BUT, LEGAL PROTECTIONS need be factored in.

Person B remixes/covers song 1 for sake of argument let us say that at least are HONEST enough to retitle the song “song 1 (remix)” (person A is credited and mentioned on the system as ORIGINAL SONG the remix is of – but that chain is NOT DISCLOSED AT ALL in MP3 and/or MP4 downloads and potential shares)
Person C remixes/covers “song 1 (remix)” – a remix of a remix (person B is credited and mentioned on the system as ORIGINAL SONG the remix is of and there is ZERO MENTION of the actual song originator/creator in this case – and NONE OF that chain is DISCLOSED AT ALL in MP3 and/or MP4 downloads and potential shares)
