SNAP Benefits & Those That Support Them Take A Constitutional & Biblical Beating

At dawn on November 22, 2025, Mt. Hamner released a moderate plume over its caldera that colored the morning sky purple and orange as the sun peeped above the horizon, which is mostly the woods surrounding the area. Residents described the event as a “bruising of the sky” that could signal a more rigorous eruption. The USGS stationed in the area proceeded to scratch their heads while perplexed looks covered their faces. Mostly, everyone in the area took the “release” in stride but began preparing for a more rigorous eruption.

It is absolutely amazing how Americans will spend countless hours, days, months, and years whacking at branches of issues instead of whacking the root. While I have been banned from Facebook, there has been a method afforded to me to be able to see what is being said on that social media platform among a certain group. In this group, an incessant amount of complaining is being done regarding healthcare and SNAP (food stamp) benefits – the SNAP benefit complaints relate to the government shutdown.  Next are the incessant complaints about the current occupant of the People’s White House. Then, there is the support for the sodomite community regarding “marriage” between the same sex.

When attempting to focus this “group” toward the root of the problem regarding healthcare, the response was met with more branch whacking. You see, this group cannot understand that the government takeover of the healthcare insurance industry was unconstitutional, nor can they understand the legislation was not about access to healthcare or payment for services. It was pointed out that at the implementation of Obamacare, all healthcare insurance industry plans would follow the “rules and regulations” established by the unconstitutional legislation, which was implemented along unilateral lines – not one “Republican” voted for it. Yet, in the years that passed, “Republicans” would fail to repeal the unconstitutional legislation.  Instead, they opted for another unconstitutional legislation to replace it. When all their efforts fell flat, “Republicans” gave up saying “We tried”. Typical for the WWE federal government.

Their complaints were based on the cost of policies and denials of service. Again, this was pointed out by numerous individuals writing on alternative news media sites this would happen at the time of implementation. Some of us were accused of trying to deny healthcare to others saying, “You just don’t want people to have healthcare.” It was a typical Bolshevik response to get those speaking out to shut up. This group complained about healthcare insurance industry CEOs getting “rich” while people were denied services or facing exorbitant costs for policies. Well, these people were warned this would happen but chose to side with communism/fascism. Trying to get this group to see the entire problem stems from government overreach into an area it is not authorized by the Constitution is like trying to bathe a feral cat. At some point, you must let that cat go.

The same situation occurred when pointing out the unconstitutional nature of SNAP benefits. This awarded the response of “You don’t care if people starve”, which is hardly the case. Again, it’s the use of Bolshevik tactics to silence those speaking truth. It was pointed out to the “group” that government was not to engage in charity as it is not an authorized function in the Constitution as Article I, Section 8 was referenced. An individual in the “group” illiterate in the Constitution responded that Article I, Section 8 allowed for Congress to provide for the common defense and pass laws for the general welfare of the people. This individual claimed the Constitution was a “living document”. It was apparent this individual confused the Preamble of the Constitution with the “necessary and proper” clause contained in Article I, Section 8. Moreover, this individual does not know the proper definition of “welfare” at the time of the framing of the Constitution – exemption from any unusual evil or calamity; the enjoyment of peace and prosperity, or the ordinary blessings of society and civil government; applied to states (Webster’s 1828 Dictionary). The “necessary and proper” clause of the Constitution states, “To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the united Staes, or in any Department or officer thereof”. Needless to say, accusations flew of being “ignorant” of the Constitution when quoting it word for word. Typical response when faced with facts. Of course, a lengthy diatribe by the individual being corrected followed, which did not receive a follow-up response. Sometimes, you just have to let ignorant, cognitive dissonant people go down the road in despair.

In confronting the complaints of the current occupant of the People’s White House, it was pointed out that he was no different than any other occupant of the office – bought, corrupt, criminal, fascist, and unlawful. Biden, Obama, Bush II, Clinton and Bush I were specifically mentioned as examples, but the emphasis was made it was all occupants of that office going back over 150 years. That did not garner a response, but another individual stated that he had always been a moderate yet, what was going on with the current administration was “forcing him to choose sides”. In this one statement was the evidence of indoctrination, the better term would be brainwashing, into the “red/blue”, Republican/Democrat, “left/right” false paradigm. In trying to point out the unconstitutional nature of “political parties” and the dangers of a two-party system, the label of “Trumpette” surfaced. Typical. Another commenter to this thread pointed out that this individual in the group had not spoken out against the previous administration, but it appeared sides had been chosen. A post was issued in “justification” of being moderate by this individual in the group claiming to “register” as an independent, look at the “information” on both sides of the issues, and make a decision on which side was right and which side was wrong. It fell on deaf screens that both sides were wrong for violating the Constitution.

One would think that at this point, this group would see their whacking at the branches was going nowhere, as the tree just sprouted more branches to replace the ones being whacked or their whacking was accomplishing nothing since no branches were actually eliminated. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Instead, the most egregious statement came during the issue of same sex unions, falsely termed marriage.

In response to a post by the individual in the group claiming to be moderate who stated, “Love is love. Love wins again”, referencing the Supreme Court’s refusal to strike down same sex unions, reference was made to God’s word regarding marriage between one man and one woman, as evidenced throughout scripture. Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13 were paraphrased, “If a man lies with a man as with a woman, it is an abomination.” The response received was “That is just hateful”. So, to one in this group, who has previously claimed to be a “Christian”, God’s word is now hateful. Wonder what the response would have been should the full text of Leviticus 20:13 been quoted? This individual doesn’t seem to be moderate at all.

In reality, the individuals in this group are not whacking at the branches of injustice and lawlessness; they are whacking at the branches of justice and lawfulness while appearing to stand for justice and lawfulness as they reject the truth of God’s word. When pointing out that Jesus Christ came to save all from sin when you accept Him as God’s son, God in the flesh, who died on the Cross and was resurrected on the third day, placing all trust and faith in Him, believing in Him, confessing your sins, repenting of those sins and asking forgiveness, the entire post was met with silence. They could not recognize this as the epitome of love.

Warning against alliance with evil was seen as hateful. God’s word was labeled as “hateful” when God repeatedly has shown mercy, even in His judgments, and sent His only son to accept the sins of the world for all time for those who will believe and follow Him.

Too many people in this country are like the individuals in this group – they reject knowledge and truth found in God’s word, walk around with a veil over their eyes, are quick to criticize followers of Christ while refusing to see the plank in their own eye. Their fate is up to God at this point. The seed has been planted. In the meantime, these people will continue to whack at branches of the evil tree instead of whacking the root.

The plume is now clearing from the caldera of Mt. Hamner. Residents are going about their daily routine as the skies clear but preparing for a more substantial event in the future. The USGS determined this was a moderate eruption, but residents in the area say, “Nah. It was just a venting of intolerable material in the throat, a hiccup if you will. But, she doesn’t hiccup much.”
