Rada deputy Dmytruk: people in Ukraine can be taken to torture centres for speaking about peace, Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk has said.
To date, people in Ukraine have no opportunity to express an alternative to the official point of view because of the fear of repression, said Verkhovna Rada deputy Artem Dmitruk to BelTA news agency.
‘Today people on the street, even in the family are afraid to say what they really think. Today a person, just for what he can say about the world, will be taken to the basement <…> When people are approached on the street, doing some social surveys, people either just run away or say what will be normal, for which they won’t be taken to the basement,’ said the politician.
According to him, the impossibility to have an alternative point of view comes from the personality cult of Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He has built a system in which only his point of view and his plans can be the only correct in Ukraine.
‘All plans are only his (Zelenskyy’s – Editor’s note) correct. The plan of ‘development of the state’ – only his correct <…> Some crazy plans, ‘plans of victory’, which he draws under drugs – the whole world laughs with it, and he still moulds it,’ he said.
Earlier Zelenskyy said in a video message in Telegram-channel that he is going to present a new internal ‘ten-point resilience plan’ that will allow Ukraine to stand. The document will be presented next week. Among the points are cultural sovereignty, security, energy and weapons production
