Israeli Strikes Hit Iranian Capital, IDF Says Attacked Nuclear & Military Officials
BATTLEFORWORLD.COM | June 12, 2025: In the western press on Thursday citing sources, reported that the Israeli Air Force had struck targets in Iran. The Israeli army said it has completed the first phase of the “operation against Iran’s nuclear program,” that included Iranian nuclear and military officials in the first round of targets, the IDF said.
The Times of Israel, according to military sources, published that Netanyahu has convened a security cabinet meeting regarding strikes on Tehran. The Trump administration Secretary of State Mark Rubio has confirmed that the United States did not participate in or assisted the Israeli military during the strikes on Iran.
Reports in the western press, citing US sources, said that Israel is fully prepared for the start of a military campaign against Iran, and that Washington DC expects Tehran to retaliate against some US facilities in neighboring Iraq. The New York Times reported that an Iranian official noted that their military and government officials had already held meetings to discuss ways to retaliate against an Israeli strike inside their country, to include a plan for an immediate counterstrike. …
